Subject: Google Chrome and media player issues

So I had to dl a media viewer in order to watch a TV program on the internet when my DVR failed to record the show I had set due to a sporting event that went way over time.It worked and I was able to watch my program. But the player came with Google Chrome which I had just deleted because I never used it and Chrome became my default player. What I found was amazing. It really destroys IE8 or whatever I have now. The page loads smoother and cleaner. Still have some issues that I'll need to spend time on eventually because I'll have to reset cookies and pwords, etc. Also, had issues dling attachments, but it may be another issue altogether. What really threw me though was I went back to look at a couple old videos and I couldn't play them in ANY format (even the new media player i just DLed). After trying unsuccessfully to play in a half dozen viewers, I finally was able to view them in realplayer (didn't even know I still had that viewer). Some of the other players had sound only, others wouldn't work at all. I've been unable to make them work, even when I make those other players my default player. Since they used to work in all of my players, wondering why they won't work now. I'm guessing that my dl of the new media player had nothing to do with the realplayer issue since it's been awhile since I tried to view videos. |

Also don't like when posting in here on Chrome how it doesn't automatically see the line breaks and merges them altogether.

Yeah - I had to build in some Chrome-specific logic to accommodate that.

It still merges everything together when i post a list or something, right? only putting the "br" in there breaks things up... 1 test2 test3 test

Looks like you need a double line break to separate a list. There must have been a reason for that.
It's been awhile since I programmed this exception. Let me look into it.

do you really need some special coding for Chrome?
when I see this right, the problem is the textarea's wrap attribute. you have set it to "physical" (= the same as "hard"). what happens when you set it to "soft"? have you tried that?

OK. I think the "soft" setting will work, although it may take awhile to get all of the software consistent with that.
Hopefully, this won't mess up any other browser.

Sweet!
Still haven't figured out the media player issues, but at least I can view them in real player. I will keep that program for now.
