Subject: Problems syncing between HTC Evo and Facebook

When i first got my Evo back in June, my phone contacts synced seamlessly with my facebook friends.
but, any friend i've added to facebook since then, doesn't show up to sync on the phone.
anyone else with an Evo had this problem? any one find a way to fix it? |

Generally, turning the phone on and then off will sometimes clear the sync issue. There are also apps that can help by placing a sync button or widget on the screen for you to use.

I don't have a definite answer, but at the moment Google (who makes the android operating system that the Evo uses) and Facebook are having a tiff. Google has decided to not allow Facebook to pull your contacts from Google, unless Facebook recipricates and lets Google get your Facebook contacts. I wouldn't be surprised if that issue stems from that.
By the way, I have an Evo as well and I love it, other than the battery life. But, I find it a reasonable compromise when compared to what it can do.

Frick - I broke down and bought the Seidio extended battery - well worth the investment, even if i can't find a case to fit my phone now.

Like Frick, I love my Evo and hate the battery life. I use an app killer that has helped a lot with my battery life, but if anyone has more suggestions I am all ears.

i love it. it will render your case useless, but i no longer ever run out of battery.
