Friend is having some computer issues.

Summary:

Computer boots up.
It doesn't seem to recognize the monitor.
It doesn't seem to recognize the keyboard.
All the correct chords, both inside and out, are plugged where they should be.
Other monitors and keyboards that are tried don't work either.

If it matters its running on WinME.

Could this be virus related? Never heard of a virus that makes the monitor and keyboard unrecognized.

Was the computer just set up? Or was it just reput together? Sometimes the pin's in them can break if you put them together a few times.

not just set up, not just put together. she shut it down the night before, woke up, and tried to start it up.

I love girls.

She got home from work and did what any person who knows nothing about computers would do: she kicked it. And yep, it started working just fine. :)
