My hosting service will be doing some power maintenance work with the electric company for about 15 minutes at 2am Central time Tuesday morning (May 10). The site may be unavailable around that time.
(I'll take their word for it.) |

I am aware that the rotoguru1 server is experiencing intermittent connectivity issues this afternoon (yesterday afternoon too). Thanks for your patience (and/or persistence).

There are some network issues impacting the rotoguru1 server tonight. The forum seems to be functioning OK, but routines that send out emails (e.g., football pickoff confirmations) and programs that access external web pages are often hanging or timing out. I'm told this should be resolved with an hour.

There was a serious network outage which impacted access to all rotoguru servers this morning. It's not clear whether all issues are now resolved for this server, but the rotoguru2.com server is still inaccessible.
Thanks for your patience. Assuming servers are up soon, sortable stats and the Assimilator should be updated by 2pm EST.

The rotoguru2 server is down this morning. The latest estimate is 1 hour to recovery. Rotoguru2 primarily hosts the blurb page, and the schedules. It also processes my email, so that's not coming through either.
This server (rotoguru1) is not impacted.

Both servers (rotoguru1 and rotoguru2) were unreachable for several hours this morning due to a general network outage. This server seems to be back now, but I still haven't been able to access the rotoguru2 server (blurb page). Hopefully that will be back online shortly.

Apparently the outage is being caused by a general power outage for the entire area around the host's facility (Dallas area). I don't know if it's storm related, or heat related, or some other cause. This server (rotoguru1 - a dedicated server) is running now on an emergency generator, and hopefully that will hold until full power is restored. The RotoGuru2 server, which is a shared server, is still down, and presumably lower in the priority spectrum.

Latest ETA for RotoGuru2.com is "within the hour". Hope that's right!

I just checked again. The rotoguru2 server is undergoing a file system check, and has been at it for more than 2 hours now. ETA is unknown.
Fortunately, most of the critical applications are on this server and not that one!
