So who exactly are the moderators these days? I can never seem to find one when I need one. |

I prefer to keep the names of moderators confidential, although they are always free to step forward if they wish.
If there is a need for a few more moderators (and I'm not sure whether there is or not, although some of the existing moderators have become less active), I'm willing to consider nominations.
Moderators have the ability to delete threads, to delete posts within threads, and also to edit text within a post. Consequently, for moderators I am looking for people who exhibit a high degree of stability and maturity, and who generally have the respect of a wide cross-section of Gurupies. Any suggestions?

I only know of one myself, and I have no idea how many others there might be. If you're considering nominees, azdbacker, Walk and ChiTRS are among the gurupies I respect most, though I'm not sure that any of them are frequent enough posters, especially beyond the baseballl forum. I believe James K Polk, madman, Sarge 33rd and steve houpt are probably responsible and respected enough to be given the authority.

Could one of the moderators be directed to surf the basketball fourum a little more often and excercise a little more athority?
Many of the threads there are just getting ridiculous. some are getting foul/borderline vulgar.
