I just implemented a programming modification that changes the way thread links are formed. The new link format will allow me to make some other processing changes, some which will be invisible, some which will not.
Thread links under the previous format will continue to work. So if you have any specific thread bookmarked, that URL will still work OK.
Not all links have yet been changed. For example, links in the RSS feeds still use the prior format. Those will be changed eventually, but I wanted to move gradually to ensure that there are no bugs.
The most obvious change will be that if your browser displays visited links in a different color than unvisited links, all thread links will lose that memory. However, as you view threads going forward, the color coding will still work. You're just restarting from scratch.
If you notice any particular glitch or issue - such slower than normal page loading, or failure to jump to the most recent post, or anything else that seems to be working improperly, please post that feedback here. If you do so, please let me know which browser (including version) you are using.
