When transferring threads from the old server to the new, I left a number of older, inactive threads behind. If there was something useful that you'd like me to try to recover, let me know. I may still be able to retrieve it.
I'm hoping that all embedded links have updated properly. We'll find out soon enough. |

Do you think that if you split each thread into multiple pages the load on your server will be lighter? If people can jump directly to the end (or middle) of a thread then they wouldn't need to download an entire 100 Kb of text to read 1 Kb of new material. Might save you some bandwidth.

Bandwidth shouldn't be a problem on this server (so I'm told), and straight html page loads aren't much of a server strain.
It would save some download time for longer threads, but I'm not sure it's material. And it would require a significant redesign of the thread storage process.
Thus, it's low on my project list.
