0 Subject: The interesting story of Ken Hamlin

Seahawks star Ken Hamlin is in serious but stable condition in the intensive-care unit at Harborview Medical Center with a fractured skull, a blood clot in his brain and bruising of the brain tissue following an altercation at a Pioneer Square nightclub.

The Hawks starting safety got sucker punched after closing at a bar. What happened to the guy who punched Hamlin?

Dead!

Asked if simply by word of mouth on the streets he could be sure that his brother was involved in the Hamlin fight he said, "100 percent sure. (From) everybody that was there. All I did when I found out my brother was dead I called everybody and everybody told me this is what happened... 'your brother knocked out Ken Hamlin'."

"My brother knocks him out... one punch," said Isabell. "So then he goes walking up 1st (ave.) and then he comes up dead."

you are leaving out quite a bit of the story with that line, particularly the part where the altercation seemed to have been broken up, yet Hamlin kept breaking free of those holding him back in an attempt to repeatedly continue the fight.

That is bizarre. Larry's at closing is a dangerous, dangerous place.

I heard initially that someone cracked Hamlin's skull with a street sign or something. Was it really one punch and a whack from the sidewalk?

Keith skiddadled out of town pretty darn fast, given his brother's condition. Makes me wonder if he was involved in the Milam shooting.

This is the same bar where a couple of sailors get their asses whooped a few months ago at closing. Larry's has a lot of fights at closing. They have wicked strong, discounted drinks that the DJs advertise frequently. I've been there, but not after midnight, and I don't think I'll be going back.

Seattle only has 25 murders a year, which is a good weekend in New Orleans.
Seattle homicide numbers

Gangsta action makes the news up here.

Murder charges in the Terrell Milam case
As it turned out, Terrell Milam's death had nothing to do with a well-publicized fight he had with a Seattle Seahawks football player outside a Pioneer Square nightclub. Investigators now believe Milam was killed because of his involvement in a non-fatal shooting more than week before his death.

Soon after Milam's death, detectives learned Norman and an associate, both members of separate Central District gangs, were the last two people to see Milam alive.

At the time, both men said they had been with Milam at a friend's house, hung out, then dropped him off at a Central District intersection.

But after the lab connected Norman to the crime scene, detectives spoke with a witness who described a chilling account of a fatal mistake Milam made while in the company of Norman and the associate, now under investigation as the second suspect in the murder.

According to the witness, Norman admitted to shooting Milam two weeks after the murder. Norman allegedly said he was a front seat passenger in a car driven by a second man who was giving Milam a ride after a gathering at a friend's house.

During the drive, Milam admitted he was involved in the shooting of the driver's brother a week earlier. But because he only knew the victim by his street name, Milam was apparently unaware the man he shot was the driver's brother. (Oops!)

The driver, enraged at this admission, allegedly pulled out a gun and immediately shot Milam several times. Norman allegedly told the witness he then pulled out his own gun and shot Milam once in the head "to finish him off," according to court documents.

Let's see here, you knock out the starting safety of the Super Bowl-bound local NFL team earlier in the evening, then get a ride home with the brother of a man you killed just last week and brag to him that, yeah, you killed some clown last week who just so happens to be his brother... that's one awful night, I must say.
