Now I really with that I had traded for him in Serious Biz!
Look at the number between Marvin Harrison and TO. Pretty similar, except Marvin has more catches and yards. Both have played with pretty good QBs during their careers.
Who would you rather have on your team, or in your community.
I'm sure that he will be cut this off-season and picked up by some other owner who convinces himself that TO has finally learned his lesson. I don't know the details of TO's contract, but if he doesn't have any roster bonuses coming up I would love to see the Eagles keep him on the roster for 2 years and never unsuspend him. Only pay him 3-4 million/year on which he would have to struggle to feed his family.

TO's contract calls for him to get big bucks next year----which is why he wanted to renegotiate in the pre-season----he figured they wouldn't keep him more than this season and he wanted a longer term deal. Well, he was right that they probably won't keep him.

This is the best news I have heard all season. I hate this clown. I wish they would just cut him since they aren't going anywhere anyway. I bet if McNabb had had the surgery they would do so.
And the guy in first in my work league has him and has been talking trash all year. He has the worst first place team in history (Keyshawn's his 3rd best player) and only has the 7th highest total points in a ten team league and he never even checks his team. He has avoided injury all season and wins with a horribly low score every week. Never seen such luck (i.e. he stole a win last week with Chicago's defensive TD as the day was winding down). This drives me insane. Rant over. I hate TO :) GO

Actually, in the interview where he was apologizing over his remarks, he said he'd be ready to go this week. Sounds like PHI's not even giving him the chance to find out.

ESPN Countdown just reported that Reid demanded that he publicly apologize to all three "people" he offended, his teammates, the organization and specifically McNabb. Yet in his 15 second apology he left out McNabb and Philly immediately suspended him. Interesting.
Also, they reported that the CBA stipulates that 4 weeks is the max the team can suspend him. Philly is contemplating releasing him outright!!! Since they can keep him suspended for 4 weeks before releasing him, they wouldn't release him before then IMM. Personally, I would be shocked if they did release him at all--though they'd instantly become one of my favorite teams!

I believe 4 weeks is the max Owens can be suspended without pay.
If they choose to pay him he could be out the rest of the season.

The NFL network was reporting that Owens showed the Eagles a copy of the statment that he read on Friday. There was one change in the statement - Owens had Mc Nabb's name it the statement that he showed the Eagles.
Also, the ironic part in this is if he gets waived, the second team who would get a chance at him would be Green Bay and that one Quaterback who he was talking about on Thursday.

I have this numbskull in a keeper league (up to 3 holds) and surprisingly, I am going to be OK without him.
I wonder if anyone has thoughts on if I should hang onto him (basically wasting a roster spot that I might otherwise put to good use) for the rest of this season as a potential keeper for `06.
A large part of his value is the offensive system he plays in. It's possible that he wouldn't be drafted in the first 3 rounds next season if he winds up on a team with a cruddy passing game like Baltimore or Atlanta. That's a stretch, I suppose. He is always going to be one of the top few receivers.
Anyone have an opinion they'd like to share?

It's not over for Owens or Rosenhaus. Any guy who could sucker a team into spending a first round draft pick on a RB who wasn't going to play an entire season must know something.
I hate the guy (Drew) but he must know something. Hey, if Drew manages to get TO anywhere near the 8m bucks next year from another team... or if he even manages to get him a contract longer than 2 years, you'll have to hand it to him as a crafty agent. All bets are off if he ends up at some loser franchise, like the Browns, Cardinals or even Miami.
