0 Subject: Newbie Keeper Help

I am a fantasy football player of 6 years. I need some help with my keepers though because this is my first offseason of a keeper league. I know my guys are going to be good next year, but I don't know if they will continue this sucess. My team is:
QB: Drew Brees*, Kurt Warner
RB: Shawn Alexander*, Rudy Johnson*, Corey Dillon
WR: Plax Burress*, Jimmy Smith*, Steve Smith*
TE: Heath Miller*, Dallas Clark
K: Jay Feeley*
Def: Carolina*, Atlanta
*-Indicates starter (I guess I didn't have a bench WR after my guys byes)
This is an 8 team league with 3 keepers. The obvious keeper is Alexander. Will Brees do well in the Big Easy? Will Miller or Clark be good enough to keep? Will Keyshawn take away touches from Smith? Will Plax keep getting good looks from Eli? Will Rudy get touches or will they try to keep CJ happy by throwing early and throwing often? Is a defense worth keeping? How quickly do I rule out Feeley (joke, insert laughter here)? Please help a newbie in keepers. Thanks!

Being an 8 team league I think you can get a better QB in the supplemental draft. Warner, Dillon, Jimmy Smith, Miller, Clark, Feeley and the Ds are obviously toss backs.

Shaun Alexander and Steve Smith are sure keepers. You decision is between Rudi and Plax in my opinion. Unless it is a point per reception league then I keep Rudi without much thought.

Just my thoughts...

Shawn Alexander, Rudy Johnson, and Steve Smith are the three I would keep regardless of scoring rules.

My thought here is if I keep 2 RBs and a WR, I will take a QB 1st round pick. I have the 7th pick so a really good QB should still be available. 2 teams have turned in thier picks so far and Vick, Brady and have been dropped so far. The only QBs I see coming off the board are Peyton and Hasselbeck. Daunte and McNabb are on waivers right now as it is?!? I really don't remember that happening. T.O. is also available, so I see a really good draft crop coming up in the first round, and alot of RBs will come off high. I hope. Thanks for the insight and if anyone else has an "expert" opinion that'd be really helpful. Thanks!

I'd draft TO if I were in your shoes. You'll find a good QB somewhere in an 8 man league. Having to start 3 WR's however, I'd want to ensure I had the best 3 possible.

That's why he probably won't be available at 1.7, but if he is... scoop.
