I am pretty sure Mike V isn't going to play, but you might want to recheck the initial thread and see if Guru set a cut-off date for when you can start inviting people not on the list.

I didn't set a cutoff date, but would prefer if those who have not been heard from could at least be emailed before moving on. Since they all participated in leagues last year, I assume we can scrounge up email addresses for everyone.
If there are additional openings to fill, my only preference is that they go to participants in one of the QLs last year - either AAA or AA.

Thanks for the post TB.
I'll give folks today to sign up on here before I start tracking down emails. Then I think what I can do until we get some definite responses is set up a priority list along with whoever sets up the AA league. That way we aren't bumping guys from AAA without them having a spot in AA.

I'd suggest a cutoff time of 11:59pm PT Monday, 7/24, for those on the priority list to commit. Since it is possible that some are on vacation, I'd like to wait through Monday, just to give them a chance to get the message and respond.
That should still allow plenty of time for the AA league(s) to form.

That sounds like a good deadline to me. Here is the current list of the 13 that I have. The guys with asterisks could be bumped to AA if priority guys step in:

There are 13 teams right now. There are 4 priority teams who haven't responded (Im assuming Mike V is out). So if all 4 priority teams want in that will push out the bottom 3 teams. Those are Promize, Electroman, and Ref. The order is based on first teams with some qualifying league experience to sign up followed by first teams with no experience who asked in. Ref and Electroman are the only two who have no experience (PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong on that.)
I also didnt include anyone who asked specifically for AA but if we are going to have open spots in AAA I would think they ought to be filled by people who have some experience.
Please feel free to let me know if you think the list is incorrect or if you see some problem with how I listed them.

I'm going to have to decline. It was a great honor to be invited to participate in the RIFC in its initial year, which is the reason that I participated. I've been cutting back on my fantasy sports for a few years now and finally have it cut down to only two leagues. Again, it was a great honor Guru and it was fun (the first half of each year, at least... until my teams went to crap).

I know you aren't a priority team Kyle, but you have participated before and you got on the list pretty early. Now with sludge out, there are only 3 priority teams that haven't responded. We still only have 13 teams so even if all three priority teams want in, you still wouldn't be bumped.

Well I am surprised and honored to be considered a replacement. I guess I don't have to worry about comishing a league since I might not be in AA and my other league fell through. While I enjoy the comish position, a year off may help my fantasy teams. SO LOOK OUT AAA#2!!! ha.

russelldl - fyi, my AOL ID is deepsnappe. Way back in the early 90s when I created my AOHell ID, they limited it 10 characters so I dropped the last 'r'. I just never got a new one after they changed. lol

yeah, I just realized what the mistake was on my part. I had Bonka and Bandos on the list twice, with Bags and yokel in between the two. I accidentally started my final list from Bandos and Bonka but it was the wrong starting point.
Nonetheless, I'll take care of it and we'll make sure we get you guys into the league. I'll have this worked out today.

Hi guys,
This message will be posted on the boards and sent out as emails to each of you.
To answer Promize's question, this is the only email that's been sent out other than the invite to the league. Please make occasional checks of the message boards. I will try to keep sending out updates by email but I don't want to fill up everyone's inboxes.
The first issue that I need to address is league membership. As I'm sure you know I accidentally left out a couple of teams that were qualified for AAA this years. Unfortunately, in order to rectify the situation I am bumping Ref and Peter N. down to AA and Bags and Slackjawed Yokel are added in their place. They will be inserted into the respective vacated spots in the draft order. I flipped a coin to determine which of them would receive Peter N.'s number 1 slot and the winner was Yokel. So Yokel gets the 1st selection for order and Bags gets the 7th. The final list for selecting draft positions is as follows:
1.Slackjawed Yokel
2.Loki
3.Electroman
4.Bonka
5.Kyle
6.Pancho Villa
7.Bags
8.Nerfherders
9.Deepsnapper
10.Promize
11.Frick
12.Wiggs
13.Russelldl
14.Bandos
Bags, Slackjawed Yokel, and Nerfherders are the only teams who haven't signed in on the AOL page. If you need a new invite or the league name or password or any assistance, send me an email. New invites will be sent out to all three later this morning just to be sure they get them.
We will use the On The Clock system over on Kafenatid.net. I will set that up immediately following this email. I believe we need everyone to register with that website. I will send out another email once I've got us set up over there. And thanks to Loki for covering our $10 fee.
The rules section on the AOL site is not complete yet so be sure to check the message boards for the most current rules. We will use the same rules as the RIFC. There are some important rule changes so please check out the RIFC preseason discussion thread and make yourselves aware of them.
Lets go ahead and begin picking draft order on the board. Yokel, you have first choice.
We need to get everyone signed into the league and into On The Clock this week. With that in mind, and considering that some folks don't have internet access over the weekend, I’m setting the draft to begin one week from today, Monday Aug. 7 at 10am est.
That should give us more than enough time to have our order together and everything ready to roll. And that still leaves ample time to get us through the draft before the season starts on Sept. 7.
