OK, ESPNs MOnday Night crew made its debut last night. I for one, thought they svcked pretty badly.
Kornheiser/Theismann appeared to be doing their best imitation of Dandy Don adn Cosell. Problem is, neither is as personable as DD and neither is as smart as Cosell was. End result, they sounded (to me at any rate) more lilke siblings arguing, than like sports announcers offering intelligent observation.
Caught in the middle, is Tirico. Unable to officiate, he was made to look bad by association. I think Tiricao is fine, but I think Theismann and Kornheiser need the heave-ho and quickly.
MNF has been a steadfast part of my life for the past 35 years. If this crew doesnt improve, and F-A-S-T, it wont be for very much longer. |

I like Tirico, but the other two could be replaced and I wouldn't be sad. The bright side is that they aren't as bad as the Miller Fiasco a couple years ago.

You just didn't get his intellectual insinuations.

Sometimes Dennis Miller is funny, but too often he comes across like he is trying too hard to be funny.

I'm hoping this is just a plot by Tony K to get Joe T to take a swing at him so they finally can Theismann before he returns to radio. If that happens they need to chisel his face next to Lincoln's on Mt. Rushmore.

I thought TK was absolutely horrible last night. In fact, I found them to be so bad, this Vikings fan quit watching after about 20 minutes. I just couldnt stomach anymore of that crew.

The crew wasn't great, Theisman is just bad. The thing that bothered me most was the score. Why was it in the bottom center? A banner across the top is how EVERY sports broadcast does it (except CBS in the Darkages) It was annoying because the camera man would have to move the angle down and miss the top of the field. That was annoying to me.
