0 Subject: Suggestion For Assiimilator

I think the Assimilator would be OVER THE TOP the greatest fantasy tool on the Web if there was some way you could put your own PROJECTED TSNP PER GAME into it.

This time of year in football for instance, the TSNP/GM avgs from last year just don't do it for me.

If there was some way to make the Assimilator use the projected TSNP/GM numbers of the user that would be absolutely outstanding.

For example a guy like rookie Wali Lundy of the Texans, you could put a TSNP/GM in there for him.

I don't know if you can just make it use a blank text box or what. I'm not a programmer. I'm guessing it wouldn't be that difficult.

What you all think?

Or for instance you think somebody like Tomlinson has a sweet matchup and you want to bump up his TSNP/GM an extra 50-100 points.

I can't begin to tell you how great it would be if you could do that with the Assimilator.

I think your handle reminds me of someone using "Limo Crash" for a handle the day after Princess Diana died, or "Icy Sidewalk" the day after Dr. Atkins fell and injured himself, resulting in death.

I'm not trying to be confrontational, but that's what I think.

I've included this type of feature in the Hoops Assimilator for several years, since point forecasting (using actual team schedules) is an integral feature of that program.

But frankly, football just isn't game that ever produces statistically meaning pts/game. I've always considered the primary function of the football Assimilator to be finding a roster that fits within the salary cap, and looking at current and future matchups (and bye weeks) in an organized, visual framework. Altough it does sum the pts/game for a roster, I've never considered that to be a particularly meaningful number, and don't think I would change that opinion even if I could supply my own averages.

I'm not saying I won't do it - it may be very simple (I'll have to look at the hoops code to see if it's directly transportable.) But does anyone else think this would even be useful (let alone "over the top")?

It turned out to be directly transferrable and quite simple, so I made the update.

One caveat - once you change a players average, it will remain changed throughout that Assimilator session. But when if/when you reload the Assimilator, the default values will once again be there. The user-specific averages are not remembered from session to session.

Thanks alot GURU.

I had no idea you were already doing it for HOOPS.

Sorry if I offended anybody with the name.

I'm gonna miss that guy. Funny Character.

Although it does sum the pts/game for a roster, I've never considered that to be a particularly meaningful number.

The how do you judge your team? I guess you use the individual statistics of each player? Or maybe look at what the gameplan is going to be? Why isn't TSNP per game meaningful for football?

I mean if Peyton Manning is averaging 299 per game and he has 3 good matchups in a row, can't you assume he's going to continue getting 299 per game at least?
