Subject: Looking for some input on a trade proposal

I co-own a team in a 12 team Yahoo league. Each team has 14 players. We start QB, 2 WR, RB, Flex, TE, K and Def.
The team that owns Tiki Barber wants to trade him for a RB and a WR. I proposed the following trade:
Julius Jones and Brandon Stokley for Tiki.
Our team: Hasselback, Fitzgerald, Mark Clayton, Reggie Williams, Cotchery, Stokley, Tomlinson, Julius Jones, McAllister, Gado, Turner, Heath Miller, Elam and Jacksonville.
Their team: Brady, Young, Rod Smith, Givens, Kennison, Evans, Keyshawn Johnson, Tiki Barber, Bush, Droughns, Dallas Clark, Josh Brown, Kaeding, Tampa Bay.
I like this trade, but my co-owner doesn't. He loves Stokley and so does the owner of the other team. I like our other receivers more than Stokley. I appreciate any thoughts people have. |

What? Stokley is your 3/4 WR, at best, and Tiki is possibly a top 5 RB. I would definitely do it and buy out your co-owner if he stops it from happening.

I like the trade from both sides of the aisle.

Thanks for both reactions. I thought the trade was fair from both sides, but my co-owner thinks we are giving up too much (if you can believe that).
Any other thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Personally I like Tiki way better. Neither Jones or Stokely are coming off good years and I see no reason why that will change. Marion Barber is going to take away carries plus everything inside the 20 which means Jones won't get many TD's. Stokely had 1 good year. This year he missed game 1, caught a TD pass in game two in which he again hurt himself, not to mention he has Harrison, Wayne, and Clark to compete with for catches.
I would take Tiki and run. The other guys team looks pretty shaky to me already and this won't help him at all, IMO.

I tend to agree with Cards. I've got Jones on a team with Barber handcuffed and I believe the day I start Barber over Jones will be sooner rather than later.
Those other guys have Stokley way overvalued and if you don't trade him, your co-owner will want to start him every week which could cost you.
Tiki got slowed down by the Eagles, last week, but that's not going to happen very often. You know he's going to get 25-30 touches every week.

I would pick up Tiki in a heartbeat.

If you can get Tiki for J.Jones and Stokely, then take the money and get the hell out of Dodge before the posse gets your scent!

Thanks again for all the input. I'm going to resist my co-owner's attempts to get me to pull this trade request. I know the other team also likes Reggie Williams, so they may counter-offer for him and Julius Jones. I still like that trade, though not as much as the one I proposed.

I agree with Cards 100%. No way I do this deal if I own Tiki, but if that guy is willing your team is much better off. Honestly, I can't see any week where you would want to start Stokley at WR over all your other guys and you have enough RB to always have a 2nd one starting in the flex spot on bye weeks over him.
