gotta agree with J2W. Tough call though.

A Smith QB vs KC or Hasselbeck at QB vs Chi? (Not giving serious thought to B Johnson vs Buff. Minn just isnt going to see 300 PaYds anytime this year I dont think.)

Smith has outscored Hasselbeck in ea of the 1st three weeks of this season. (Under our scoring system.) So I'm sore inclined to "ride the hot hand". At the same time, with Alexander out, I see Sea passing with 4 WR sets alot more. BUT, they are playing in CHI this week, and Chi D is damn tough. (As you can tell, I keep going back and forth and back and forth on this one.)

L JORDAN OR J JONES?

I have Tki and cannot decide. Jones has the nod now
because OAK has looked pathetic.

Any input would be great.

re 4: Very tough call...but I would lean towards Hassleback.

Re 5: Definitely Jordan, he faced the leagues toughest two run defenses with his first two games, but now he gets to beat on Cleveland.

Hate to tack on to a who do I start list, but I have an honest conundrum. I am in a ppr six for td pt every ten yards, have to start two backs from the following.
LT
Gore
Kevin Jones
Chester Taylor.
I know LT is an every week starter but that Baltimore D has been stout this year, Gore with the injury questions, and KJ playing on the questionable lions team. I think LT and Taylor, unless I get talked out of it

Brees @ Car seems a little risky cause Carolina's defence could wake at any moment.
Warner @ Atl doesn't seem like a good choice because he's already on the hot seat an 0-6 or INT start could land him on the bench after one quarter.
A. Smith @ KC seems like your safest choice but he might not be the best.
Personally I'd go with Brees since he has a longer track record.

Who do you guys like best in this one:
A. Green @ PHI
J. Lewis vs. SD
K. Barlow vs. IND
R. Johnson @ NE

I have to start 2, no PPR. Rudy seems like a no brainer who's #2?

Here are some tough choices:

Wes Welker vs. Hou or Troy Williamson vs. Buf? (We get points for kick returns) before week 3, Williamson was the #9 reciever, Welker was the #11.

Dallas Clark vs NYJ or Eric Johnson vs KC?

Tights ends get double points for yards, I could start both of them instead of one of the WRs.

re 10: I agree with you. LT/CT.

re 11: A Green. Phi pass D is horrid, and to slow down Favre/Driver they wont be able to stack the box against Green.

re 12: Welker vs Hou. You stand to see ALOT more Punt Ret yardage there I'd think. As for the TE...I'd go with EJ.

Sarge #4- Go with Hasselbeck. Seattle won't be running the ball very well. Pass, pass, pass.

angryChair #5- I want to say be bold and go with Jordan, but Jones has a great match-up. Your Chinese fortune cookie says both do well this week.

Mith #7- Game time decision for me, but I think I would start Moss and Houshimama for sure. Jones hasn't shown me much, is still ailing, and even when he is starting Williams and Wilford are getting equal targets so he is the guy I lean towards benching. Injury news could be the deciding factor.

boikin #9- Warner is the name my magic 8-ball likes the most. Smith at KC isn't very appealing and Brees has to go to Carolina. I know Warner is at Atlanta, but I am thinking he has something to prove this week amidst the benching rumors. Brees would be my 2nd choice.

RebelFan42 #10- Nice problem to have. LT starts every week for me. Baltimore has been great, but we are talking about the best back in the NFL. He will get his points. I like Gore if he is healthy. I think they have to focus on the run @ KC. I don't mind either of your other match-ups with KJ at Rams and Taylor at Bills. I would probably take Taylor over KJ for this week.

Kyle #11- Rudy for sure and then I like Green. I do not like Lewis vs SD at all and like Barlow even less, if that is possible. That might come across as Green by default, but as long as he is healthy he is the best offensive weapon that GB has.

rooter #12- Call me crazy, but I like both of your TE's. If I had to start a WR instead of a TE, I think I go with Williamson over Clark. I think either WR is a decent choice based upon your scoring rules, though. Welker at #11 for the year means you can't really go wrong starting him.

Tightends #14- I agree with Sarge. Chicago and KJ.

Before you guys post your questions, you should provide input for the guys above you. I am guessing more people would be apt to provide an opinion if they thought they would get some advice back. I know it's just for fun and discussion because ultimately we are all going to make our own decisions.

RE 19 Cblack I'd say go with Willis and KJ. Whatch you talking about sarge with your reggie pick. I mean until he's garenteed 25 touches a game i wouldn't throw him in there ahead of someone who carries an offence.

wk1: Car allowed 252 RuYds vs Atl, Minn allowed 103 vs Wash

wk2: Car allowed 243 RuYds vs Minn, Minn allowed 107 RuYds vs Car

wk3: Car allowed 64 RuYds vs TB, Minn allowed 51 RuYds vs Chi

Minn hasnt allowed a 100 yd Rusher in 3 games, Car has allowed 2 of them in three games. It would not surprise me at all, to see both Deuce and Bush, push the 100 yd mark this week. (That is of ocurse, assuming that NO doesnt have a huge emotional let down, after a big emotional win last week.)

Those are my "rationales" for saying that I would go with Reggie. (Not rying to talk anyone into anything. Just responding a little more thoroughly, to the query as to why I said what I did.)

Sarge those are pretty convincing stats. If I had Bush I'd prolly start him then. I take back what I said and take back the "whatcha talking about willis" reference.
I'd still start McGahee because we all know the JP (I find a way to make a win a) Loss-man can't really throw that well. Does anyone really expect him to break out after he threw for 200+ yards and a TD against the Jets? I am sorry, I don't buy it. This kids arm looks like cooked spagetti and I don't buy him as an NFL starting QB.
All that said I'd start McGahee and Bush. Stats and Losman, and Regis that's my final answer.
That's just my 2 cents tho.

I could see going McGahee/Busg vs KJ/Bush. I think you're right re Lohsmans inability to "win" the game. He's the stereo-typical...look kid, just dont lose the game for us....kind of QB. Buff has little option, but to hope for 1 big pass play (on the rcvrs part) and then turn to McGahee if they want/hope/intend to compete.

I'd look for somewhere around 75-85 Ru yds out of McGahee and maybe a TD.

Key to remember about Bush.
If your league isn't giving Return points, he is much less valuable.
Havne't looked up the numbers, but you might want to do that before making a choice.
He has been all but worthless in my Exit 42 league (or whatever the heck they are calling it now - Real League).

Deuce has 36 points
Bush has 23 points

In the RIFC scoring format:
Deuce has 35.5
Bush has 32.2

So, you just need to know the scoring and how that impacts value.

D. Jax versus Chi
M. Jones AKA WHite Lightning AKA Big Slimz versus WSH
G. Jennings versus PHL

With Philly's injuries and generally week secondary and the fact that Philadelphia could take an early lead, I like G. Jennings even if he is a number two versus the others.

Also K Jones versus STL
or F. Gore versus KC

Per the RB discussion above. I would go with McGahee and Jones. Left out of the above discussion was the fact that STL rush defense is also terrible giving 161 to denver and 127 to gore as well as 94 to edge james who only got 73 against san fran and 63 against seattle.

Jones is also quietly putting up pretty close to 100 yards a game, 95.0 combined and needs to find the endzone more after finally getting their last week. The packers have a fairly decent rush defense as well, ranking in the top 12 in the league.

interesting arguments are made for bush. carolina did give up a lot more yards to taylor whose style is mroe similar to bush then mcgahee. but i just think that its better to use a clear number 1 guy, especially when he's leading the league in rushing.

Keyshawn, Rhodes, T. Jones - Ughhhh

sarge #4:
Still think it has to be Hasselbeck
A. Smith hasn't proved that much yet.

angryChair #5:
I think I'd go with Lamont Jordan
He has a lot to prove after calling out the team
and he really is the better option of the two

MITH #7:
Would think it is Moss or Jones
Ya need to watch Housh too though and make sure he is playing
If it looks close to him playing, I would let him sit
If Housh is playing, sit Jones

boikin #9:
I would go with Brees as the safest pick of the 3

RebelFan42 #10:
LT and Chester
Don't like the risk with KJ or Gore

Kyle #11:
Rudi and Ahman

rooter #12:
Welker
Clark EJ is a tossup in my mind
I'd go with Clark personally, but ya never know when EJ might go off

Tightends #14:
I'd go with KJ and Chicago

jrd #17:
Hard choice
Check status until the last minute and make sure neither one isn't playing
If they are both playing, I think I would go with Housh

cblack #19:
McGahee is the no brainer
I guess KJ, but could be anybody
Depends on if you get return points
If so then Bush might be the better choice

phillyhawgs #28:
I take Chicago once again
I think ya having to go with G Jennings now until he proves you other wise
Cost me the game last week by not starting him
KJ over Gore unless suddenly the news changes and Gore is all well

Just my thoughts guys

Yea, I'm going with Hasselbeck this week vs Smith, for the same reasons I suggested Bush vs McGahee. Combine the absence of Alexander, with the resulting predicted rise in 4 WR sets, and I'm looking for 270+ PaYds I think out of Hasselbeck this week.

OK all, I'm torn here

Chester Taylor @ Buffalo
Julius Jones @ Tennessee

I know there is a chance on JJ not getting as many touches.

But, my gut instinct still says to go with JJ.
Both Defenses are about the same against the run.
So, the real question is which player will get the most touches.

Thats one tough call. I look for both Minn and Dall to take leads, then grind out the clock to hold for the wins. Since I think the respective coaches like M Barber behind JJ better than they do Mewelde behind Taylor, I look for JJs back-up to see more action than Taylors. So, via grossly over-analyzing the teams, I'd go with Taylor. :)

I agree with the Jennings assessment. This reminds a lot of the situation two years ago when Walker was a good number 1 and Driver a solid number 2 and great number 3 fantasy wise. I am curious, however, as to what y'all think of Jennings in the long run. Do you think that he will outproduce Driver?
I don't really think of Driver as a big play receiver. To me he is more of a possession guy but I have not really seen enough of Jennings to make an assessment. It seems like he's got the hands and speed to make big plays but I don't know if he has the same kind of route running skills and speed that made Walker such a threa.

re Haynesworth in the Dal-Tenn game today.

How is it that Haynesworth isn't being criminally charged with battery? The Dall C was on the ground and his helmet had popped off. Haynesworth, then stomps on the mans head with his cleats! Its no more a part of the game of football, than would be the batter who charges the mound while wielding the bat against the pitcher.

Thank goodness.

They were talking about Haynesworth at the half of the late game.
Apparently Fisher had a lot to say to Parcells about the incident.
They'll wait on the league and then go from there.
Made it sound like they would go to the DA for charges.

Saw that, Have to agree with Collinsworth...the guy should have been hauled off in cuffs, right then and there.

King was specualting that the league might fine him like 25k and that would be about it. I dont see where that is anywhere close to sufficient. As I understand it, took 30 stitches or so to close the wound. Sorta reminded me of the Oakland player a few years ago, who busted up his teammate andpout an end to his career IIRC.
