I noticed that you have "OPPOSING DEFENSE" as one of the options under Position.
Why not take this a step further and add
OPPOSING QUARTERBACKS OPPOSING RUNNING BACKS OPPOSING WIDE RECEIVERS OPPOSING TIGHT ENDS OPPOSING KICKERS
Seems like that would be useful information also. Just wondering how difficult that would be. Thanks. |

1. Difficult, but not impossible. I don't have my data organized that way, except for defenses.
2. There's no reason to reinvent that wheel, as it's already being provided. Here's the table for stats through week #4.

Yea, I saw that thread but like you said it had a denominator problem at the time I made this post.
For some reason TSN Fantasy Source is also coming up with different numbers on this.
Thanks Guru

Fantasy Source numbers were not reliable last year and last I heard the problem has not been fixed this year.

I think I may have figured out a way to do this efficiently as part of my regular routine. Let me work on it, and maybe I can take RSF off the hook.
Probably not until next week, though.

No sweat off my nose either way. I'm just parsing your data, as it is.

I've got a beta version of this posted already: http://rotoguru1.com/cgi-bin/fstats6.cgi
It should work for any position or opposing position. I checked it against RSF's numbers, and it matches up very well. I noted a few differences in the WR list, which may be due to IPOs added since the start of the season, since I would have those player's stats included since day 1, rather than since they were made eligible. (I haven't confirmed that this is the source of the differences, but it seems plausible.)
Please test out this version and let me know if anything looks off, not only for the opposing stats, but also for regular reports as well.
If you drill down to look at game by game details you can see those for opposing positions, but I want to do some reformating of that page, probably consolidating all of the opposing position detail on one table.

I like all the info on one table (like RSF's), but I also really like the breakdown of individual weeks and home/away designations. Good stuff, Guru. Thanks

Seems to be working, so I released it to the regular URL.
