Subject: WR Options (Week6)

Have to start 2 WR's in a week in which I really REALLY need/want to beat a good friend. My options are;
-Javon Walker vs Oakland -Santana Moss vs Tennessee -Bernard Berrian vs Arizona -Lee Evans vs Detroit
Basically ... all 4 have favorable matchups. If you had to choose 2 to start, who would they be?
I'm leaning towards Berrian/Evans or Berrian/Walker.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

I'd probably go Berrian & Walker.
How about this one. I need to start 2 of these RB's:
Barber vs ATL McAllister vs PHI Cadillac vs CIN
I'm leaning towards Barber and McAllister. Cadillac did have his first 100 yrd rushing game of the season but so did McAllister (in the 1st half!). Also, Cincy defense is pretty good.

I agree on your RB thoughts. Barber/McAllister

I second that thought ... I don't trust Cadillac vs. the Cincy D

barber/mcallister
PA, that's tough. I think I'd go Moss/Walker. berrian is a very tempting play. maybe teams keep getting burned by that 84-Fly play, maybe they don't. he doesn't have near the track record that moss and walker have. evans is ok, but i don't see how you pass on walker/OAK and moss/TEN.
maybe you should be trading one of these guys.

hmm, one thing to consider though - how much is denver going to throw the ball against oakland? good luck picking the right play here. no one knows what will happen.

My concern re Moss, is the Oak QB situation. With no one to throw the ball, what good are any Oak WR's/TE's?
Berrian has proven himself to be THE big-play guy in Chi. He only needs two receptions to potentially push the 100 yd mark. With the way Grossman has been playing, I find it hard to believe he wont get at least that many.
Evans or Walker, is a tougher choice to be sure. Both have some of the same QB concerns that MOss brings. Lohsman or Plummer? Neither has been burning it up. I look for Den to jump out to an early lead and pretty much sustain it though. Meaning in the 4th qtr, I doubt Plummer will throw 5 passes in the entire 15 minutes. I dont like the prospect, of essentially only counting on 3 quarters of play out of my starters. (Though it does happen to all of us from time to time.) I see Buff beating Det, but not as readily/handily, as Den beating Oakland.

oops..thats what I get for responding to "a" post, and not referring back to the OP.
Santana has been a let-down from expectations all year. Of course, after his last season, expectations may have been abit unrealistic too.
I'd still go with Berrian/Evans, though a sound case can be made for Berrian/Walker as well.

Berrian and Moss.
I don't know what more unproven...Buffalo's offense or Detroits defense. Plus they're on the road, so who knows what can happen. Also, expect the Broncos to run Oakland into the ground, where they won't have to throw as much.
You've got to start those two. Moss is a different player at home. I'd go Moss Berrian.
Goodluck this week.

I think you could flip a coin on all four receivers. Walker, S. Moss, Berrian, and Evans all have great matchups this week. My initial instinct was to say S. Moss and Evans.
