0 Subject: WR starting help

I have these 4 Wr's and I can only start 2 of them:

L.Coles vs DET
T.Houshmandzadeh vs CAR
R.Wayne vs WAS
G.Jennings vs MIA

I'm thinking Coles and Wayne but it's really a toss up between Coles, Wayne and Housh. Housh has been pretty good the past few weeks, almost too good to bench.

Coles and TJ. Its got to be tough, having 4 solid choices at WR. Sorta like playing "russian roulette". Which 2 are gonna "go off" this week and which 2 aint.

I know, every week I have the same porblem. Maybe I should deal 1 of them for a QB or TE.

Here's the rest of my team:

QB Vick
RB Cadillac
RB Barber
WR Houshmandzadeh
WR Coles
TE Cooley
K Elam
DEF Denver

Bench
QB Kitna
QB Green
RB McAllister
WR Jennings
WR Wayne
DEF Kansas City

yep...I'd pkg Vick/Wayne maybe, and try for an upgrade at QB. (Alot of course, depends upon the specifics of your league scoring system, other teams needs either real or apparent, etc etc)

Bryant Johnson @ Oakland or Lee Evans vs NE

Start Wayne...The Redskin Secondary is very banged up and with their solid run D, expect them to throw.

I wouldn't start Jenningson the road against a fairly good secondary. It's a coinflip between Coles and TJ. Bengals haven't been solid lately but either one seems like a good start.

Good luck.

my first thought TB, was Johnson vs Oak...but looking at the D stats on nfl.com...

Oak ranks nr1 against the pass giving up only 133.8 yds/game. NE OTH, is yielding 222.4. So I think it comes down to, which QB do you like better? I like Evans matchup better, but I like Johnsons QB better. At any rate, I'm thinking Evans may be the better start.

Thanks, Sarge. I think I just wanted to hear someone echo my same thoughts.

I start Johnson v Oak. I think the majority of the reason Oak's pass D is "good" is because they get down early and often, and then can't stop the run. Well, Arizona is not the great of a rushing team, and after giving up a 20 point lead in 15 minutes and 2 seconds, there is no way they sit back on their haunches and try and "hold" a lead instead of trying to keep scoring. I wouldn't be surprised if they put up 28+ points. Plus, with the firing of the offensive coordinator and promotion of the QB coach, I would imagine that the offense will gear more towards throwing the ball. Furthermore, there is no way Oakland ends the season letting up only 133 py/game (unless they play Jake Plummer every week!).

As for jrd's question, I go Wayne and Coles. I expect annihilation in Indy on Sunday with the Colts coming off a bye.

I have to start 2 WR's on a team and I have to choose between
1. Reggie Williams
2. Terrel Owens
3. Chris Chambers

I like the matchup for Chambers (v. GNB) and Williams (@HOU) a lot. Not so much for TO (v NYG). I think we've seen enough from TO this year to say with certainty that he's not the fantasy player of old simply because Bledsoe isn't that proficient at getting him the ball. I'm beyond the stage where he seems an automatic start to me. Sure he can score 3 late TD's against HOU, but I don't think the Giants are going to be such a pushover. I think they'll crush Bledsoe a few times and blanket TO, allowing Glenn the one-on-one coverage (like most other teams have). I basically feel TO is the number 2 target on that team now.

Chambers gets the looks and touches each week, and now he has Harrington throwing to him rather than the knock-kneed Culpepper. Williams has been the #1 target for the Jags virtually all season. Even if Garrard starts, I like both of them a lot this week.

Does anyone have a compelling reason for me not to start Chambers and Reggie Williams? That's who I'm leaning towards at the moment.

TO will do one of two things in the game...

1) virtualy blank
2) go off

I dont see much in the wayof "middle ground" or what we fantasy types would call "good"games.

I think your call for the other 2, creates a more likely combo of satisfactory results. Will you be tempted to kick yourself with TO in the bench and 87yds and 2 TDs? Yep.Will you be more upaset if you start him and he has 2 receptions for 21 yds? Yep.

I think your rationale is right on target. Go with your first instinct.

MC, I worry about Reggie Williams because (like you said) Leftwich may be out today, and I don't know how his rappor is with Garrard. If Leftwich doesn't play today, then I think you may need to consider Owens. Even if Leftwich does play today, the injury factor is still there. So, I don't really have a recommendation, but the Jags passing game scares me a little this week.

I still don't mind Owens, though. He isn't the same as he once was, but, who knows, on the Monday Night spotlight - he could be big.

I also have the luxury on that team of McNabb and Tomlinson. I just wanna win. If I score a load of points, too, well that's great.

I don't think Owens is going to go off. I think the Giants will play tight defense on him. They'll look to make sure he doesn't beat them by himself, which he basically did to Houston last week.

I need to choose 2 of these 3:

Moss vs Az
Bryant Johnson @ Oak
Toomer @ Dal

DMAN - Moss and Bryant Johnson, IMO.

MC - Who would be covering TO anyhow, Madison? He was pretty good in his heyday, but I think he is little old and he is only 5'11". Also, Gibril Wilson was out last week, so, if he is out again, it would be good for TO. I don't know, it's a tough call. I probably go TO, just my preference, though. It's a good situation for you to be in, especially with McNabb and LT.

TB,
They are calling for rain throughout most of the Buffalo - NE and temps in the low 50s.
I think I would take that into account.
