Lots of mistakes, too. Burress started the whole thing, by giving up on a pass that was too long, then not really bothering to try to tackle Jones.

They won a game in Philly they should not have, funny how things even out.
At the begining of the year, everyone was picking the Giants for the NFC champs. Funny, I knew that they would have a problem with the coach, that he would lose the players, and that seems to have happened. I would say that he is in his last year there.

Eli Manning getting what he deserves for dissin my Chargers. Rivers will be the better QB for his career anyway.
Hate to see Tiki go out on this note, but such is life.

It may have evened out this year, but definitely has not evened out over the long haul.
I would love to see a log of all the games the Giants 'implosions' over the years where they have given away an all but assured win with some flukie play or mistake. The most famous is the Joe Pisarcik fumbled handoff attempt that has led to teams now taking a knee.

What the he!! was Kiwi doing playing 2 hand touch on Vince Young. A bearhug doesn't count as a tackle! Vince Young then runs about 25 yds for the first down (and I think that was a 4th & 10 play)
Thats the play when I knew it was over.

i felt like i was watching Vince Young lead UT to the National Title all over again.
as much as the giants imploded, let's not forget that Young had some mega-poise going on there in the fourth quarter.

Found this in the game recap:
"The final minutes felt like a flashback to the national championship game last January when Young led his Texas Longhorns past Southern California."
"The big play came on fourth-and-10, when Giants rookie Mathias Kiwanuka had Young wrapped up for a sack, but let him go, only to see him scramble upfield 19 yards for a first down."

Miracle at the Meadowlands was won by the Eagles.
That was when, I believe, all the Giants had to do was run the clock out by taking a knee, and the QB fumbled.

The fumble was returned for TD by Herm Edwards. Even back then he was playing to win the game.

Giant fans do not refer to it as the 'Miracle of the Meadowlands', to us it is simply referred to as 'the fumble'. see the video
As far as I understand it, the 'take a knee' play did not really come into it's own until after this screw up.
Checking info on that play from the web, the info I found says the Giants were up 17-12, it was 3rd and 2 from the NYG 27 yard line. 31 seconds were on the clock when the 30 second play clock started.
