senseless and disgusting. I live about an hour from Stillwater (where Williams played in college) and I've had him on my rifc team the past two seasons, so when my brother called and told me what happened I thought he was just giving me a hard time at first. very sad and hard to believe.

It's strange; I suppose those of us that have had him on our teams maybe tended to appreciate him a little bit more. I certainly felt raised goosebumps when I read that he was killed this morning.
What a sad and utterly unnecessary tragedy. Aapparently the violence stemmed from taunting. No punches had been thrown or anything like that. The killers just up and shot into a limousine because someone hurt their f'ing feelings. It's unfathomable.

yeah - my take is that there are too many dumbasses who think they need to live up to the stuff they see in movies and hear about in songs.
the last report I read said that the police have some strong leads and arrests are expected. I hope Bubba has a warm soft bed waiting for the trigger man.

Wierd that this is the third athlete to get shot in Denver
Last April, Nuggets guard Julius Hodge was shot while driving on Interstate 76 in Denver. In 2003, Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Joey Porter, who played at Colorado State, was shot outside a Denver sports bar.
