Just read an interesting article in ESPN magazine called "Near Miss" by Bruce Feldman. The article gives a brief glimpse of behind the scenes recruiting of Joe McKnight by Ole Miss and alludes to a book coming out by Bruce Feldman this fall called "Meat Market" which will I assume be a more in-depth look at college recruiting.

I really found this to be an interesting read and was wondering what other books are out there that people would recommend as both entertaining and enlightening as to the scene of college or even pro recruiting for football.

It's not necessarily recruiting per se, but I enjoyed Every Week A Season by Brian Curtis. It looks at a week in the life of a bunch of different NCAA Div 1 coaches. Some of the schools are major programs, but others, like Northern Colorado, have different issues to worry about.
