This is the AA sign up, but fcfs list of managers who player last year would also come from here. So far the fcfs order looks like:
wiggs Tree Frick mjd-would commish AA if not called up to AAA
Did Jack Hammers play in any RIFC league last year? If so, he's after Frick on the list.
Besides an email addy, please state if you played in any RIFC sanctioned league last year. It'll make it easier for the AAA commishes to see who else is on the fcfs list.
I would like to play in an AA league this year. I have never played RIFC, but started playing fantasy football in 1982. We did everything by hand back then.
Would someone mind helping an ignorant simpleton with some of the details: Is this draft on a GURU home page?? What does FCFS stand for? Is there software or league fees required? Do we know what date the draft starts? How does the draft order get determined? How do I pick my team name? Is Thunder Bunnies too sissy? I read a lot of RIFC threads from last year and they talk about AIM and AOL and funbal(?) software and random number generators and DP's and ques and all kinds of new stuff. I know DP's and ques, but will know no one in league. I need to study up and be prepared. I have played TSN, ESPN, Small World, PSC, and private leagues so I can adapt.

--Draft: Football Leagues forum --First Come First Serve (not common for me either) --Not typically--AOL is free --You will be told. Your league will have a thread in the football leagues thread. --Random draw or pick --You can pick whatever you want --That's pretty sissy, but I've seen worse --Do your homework. Stay active and hope the Fanatasy Gods of Luck are on your side
Aren't alot of the drafts run through Kafenatid's drafting program? The results are posted in the forums, but the actual draft is done at Kafenatid (automatic clock, e-mail notification and designated pickes)
I don't know what the commish of AA was planning on doing but in AAA#2 I was planning on doing Kafenatid's On the Clock if the rest of the league was game for that. It makes things alot easier, it e-mails you when you are "On the Clock" and it makes trying to figure out who is gone alot easier. It also allows you to set up ques which is really nice. You can even set who you want as your designated picker.
Plus you don't have to worry about spelling 's name wrong.
Footwedge Jack Hammers Pops-please leave an email address Psycho dror Donkey Hunter SwingandaMiss Davepyro
Please note, those not called up to AAA will be eligible for AA, but some of the FCFS folks signed up after the people not eligible for the list. This shouldn't be a problem because the AA league last year needed about 5 or 6 replacements just to get through the draft. We started way late last year. Hence this thread.
The way we're going now, there may be enough for 2 AAs.
That's 22. So far, 3 AAA invitees have declined. I'm 4th on the FCFS list. If I'm not needed in AAA, I'll commish AA#1 again. If I'm needed in AAA, AA#1 will need a commish.
Still need email addresses for Pops and coldwater coyotes.
Looks like we'll know what's up by Friday. I'm still on the bubble for AAA. If I'm not needed, I'll commish AA#1 and invite the next 13 people on the AA list in order of sign up for a total of 14 players.
The rest can be alternates (AA needed several last year just to complete the draft) or start AA#2 if enough players are found and someone volunteers to commish.
So be sure to check in this weekend if you can and definitely on Monday. If I'm commish, we'll begin choosing draft slots then.
Still need a email sddress from Pops.

Anybody know any more players out there? With 22 already, I would hate to be left out this year. We need 6 more managers/ teams.
Anybody know where else to play?

Any chance you might commish an AA#2 league?
We still need 6 more teams -- anyone know anyone who would join us?

I don't see myself commishing this year but I would certainly be willing to help out anyone who wants to take on the duties. I just don't have the time this season. But I will see if I can get some more people to join and get the numbers up for a AA#2. Its still a kind of early for folks that only play fantasy football and I think if someone really makes a push for a second AA league you could get it done.

Whoever commishes AA#1.
I have coldwater coyotes email address. I asked for it above and he emailed it to me. Maybe he doesn't want to release it in a public forum.
Whatever. If he chooses not to post it, email me and I'll send it to you. He's 14th on the AA signup list.

I will volunteer to be the commish for AA #1. Russeldl, can you be my assistant?
I have read over the Kafenatid info and understand that well. i will need help in setting up the AOL part with all the IDP's that we use. I like the format from last year: 24 on team, 15 play each week, 2 games per week. I can't go further on the AOL site unless I actually set up a league. I also need to know how to set up an AA thread in rotoguru.
Any thoughts by anyone on this? Anyone want to help out?

Judy:
To start a new topic click on the link at the top of the page that says: RotoGuru Football Forum You will see the list of topics under that heading. At the bottom of that list you will see where you can post a message. Just post a message like you would normally post and you will have created a new topic. The only difference is you will need to enter the topic of your choosing.

I'd certainly be willing to offer any advice that I can. Also, all of the other commishes in RIFC leagues usually set up a thread once the season starts just for commissioners and they are all great about assisting you as well. You said before you have the time and that's really all it takes. Trust me, if I could do it right last year (mostly right) then you can definitely due it.
I've never played in an rifc league. I'd like to play.

WE ARE ALL SET.
THE 2007 RIFC AA LEAGUE IS READY TO GO.
Mike and I spent a couple of hours setting up the AOL site and hopefully you will get an inviation from AOL tonight or tomorrow night. I need to set up the Katenafid draft site as well.
Check post #47 above to see the FCFS order. I'll send invites to to top 13 and then add more if people decline.

I sent out a better invite today, using the AOL site -- you should actually get two invites... oops.
Let me know if you do not get it. I used the email off your link:
