Rank these guys please in terms of both production this year and long term.

I am in a keeper league and draft 1.02 and 1.08 in the redraft. I need 1 RB to team with fast Willie but who to take. It is a PPR league.

I have it as

Henry
MJD
Lynch
Peterson
Colston
Johnson

for this season but since it's a keeper I have them long term being more like

AP
Lynch
MJD
Colston
Johnson
Henry

please help guys. I don't know what to do. 1.01 will be one of them obvioussly, I just don't know what to do from there. I was going for MJD but recent things I've read feel that his TD's will not take a minor hit but a major one and that really hurts his value. Henry will go for 1300+ and 8 TD's in Den, Lynch and AP should both go for about 1000 and 5 with nice receptions but MJD is supposed to return kicks which count in my league.

Thanks for the help.

Which Johnson?

In a keeper, I'd go with Lynch. But I'm a Bill's fan and biased towards upside.

Of course Henry likes the weed and has had 9 kids by 9 different women, so he as reason to keep running. Fast.

I'm going to assume Calvin is the Johnson and when you say it's a PPR league I will go with 1 point per reception with otherwise normal scoring rules.

For this season I would say (based on most projections and my gut instinct) that this is how it will look from top to bottom scorers:
MJD
Henry
Colston
Peterson
Lynch
C. Johnson

I don't normally group my RB with my WR, though. I would take Colston over CJ in any scoring format except one that awards additional points to players from the Lions.

In a keeper format I would rank the RB like this:

MJD
Peterson
Henry
Lynch

I want to play in the league that awards individual players extra points for being on the Lions. Sounds like a blast.

I'll bet Matt Millen agrees.

When I saw you replied I thought you were going to be pimping Lynch, especially after taking him in our keeper league over AP. Lynch is a solid back, but I don't think that's going to equate into great fantasy stats. I will be surprised if he ever busts 40 receptions and 1200 yards rushing as long as he's with the Bills. He certainly hasn't impressed with his YPC this preseason and McGahee struggled with the same behind that offensive line.

I know I put YPC and was thinking per carry when I typed in. Sub in YPR, but you know what I mean.

The Bills finally spent some money on the O-line this off-season.

I think it might take some time for them to gel, but I have high hopes for them next year, or maybe by the stretch.

TB, UCLA haters need not apply for the job you're trying to do.

any worry about MJD not doing the same fanatsy wise because he scored so many TD's last year, if he did even half the 16 and had 8 (which most seem to do) then he is nowhere near as valuable. He will of course get more touches so maybe he'll go for 1300 or so instead of about 950.

(950 yds x .1 ppy) + (16TD x 6) = 95 + 96 = 191 points

(1300 yds x .1ppy) + (8TD x 6) = 130 + 48 = 178 points

13 points is the difference. Nowhere near as valuable? I disagree.

In most leagues, he'll also pile up a ton of points on receiving yards. He had 46 for 436 and 2 TD's in 2006. Each TD reception was 50+ yards. Don't ignore those numbers.

Number of Rushing TDs 0-10 6 points each
Rushing Yards 0-400 .05 point for every 1
Rushing 2 Pointers 0-10 2 points each
Number of Receiving TDs 0-10 6 points each
Receiving Yards 0-400 .05 point for every 1
Receptions 0-100 .33 points each
Receiving 2 Pointers 0-10 2 points each

here's our scoring breakdown. so MJD

1200 + 500 (60 recepts) + 10 TD's = 60 + 25 + 20 + 60 so 165 FP's

for Henry we're more likely to see 1/3 of the recepts and half the yards from catches without much more for yards so if those numbers are about right (and could be higher) for MJD then I have my guy I think. No way does AP or ML do as much as that IMO. That also doesn't include the PR and KR points that we have which do count as well.
