Trading opens in about 20 minutes. Will be interesting to see if it's as active at the opening as it was last week. |

The Hog is only letting me sell some of my players (Manning, Packers D, Roeth) but not others (Tomlinson, Curry, McDonald).
That's killed a bunch of my $$ gain chances.

Well, I'm probably done with this game. Can't sell players.
Sheesh, I know they are New, but just one problem after the other.

Had to sell Manning to get the cash I was planning on getting from Tomlinson. How only half the players can be sold amazes me. Would seem either the whole market would be frozen or the whole market would be open.

Yeah and I'm losing value on players I can't sell! HUGE MESS!

Simple solution?
Reset the rosters and prices, and do it all over again tomorrow morning. I would think that would make the least # of people angry...

Chuck, Bench them, then you can sell them.

Yeah, this is awful. I was only able to sell two of the players I wanted to sell.

All, Bench them and then you can sell them.

Good call Cliff!!!! Thanks.
Still odd that you can sell some guys and not others (I was able to sell Peyton, even though he was in there as my starting QB)

I sold the Bengals and other players I'm trying to sell are locked (Curry and Berrian). That left me about a buck short from jumping on the Derek Anderson train. Picked up Braylon Edwards instead (already had DeShawn), but would have been nice to be able to snag D.A.
My only player who's price is falling significantly is Addai, but was thinking of keeping him anyway. The first few minutes I definitely noticed several players price had moved while others were stuck at $0 (price change).
Now those other players have begun to move, but I STILL can't trade them.

GL, That worked!
Unfortunately I had to sell my whole team as the players I had planned to sell couldn't and had to get rid of the rest just to have the cash to speculate.

If you have the sell glitch this morning, move the player to your bench first, and then you can sell him.

Thanks for the tip, but I'm in the same boat as Ref-- a lot of extra transaction fees now-- that'll neutralize a lot of my games.
I still vote for a fresh reset tomorrow morning.

Morten Anderson isn't in the db yet.

Can anyone explain 14.70 points for Kevin Walter last weekend?
All I can see is 7 yards receiving plus a TD, and the TD was a fumble recovery on a kickoff return, while he was on the kicking team. It's not clear that even that should count. But even if it does, that still leaves 8 points unexplained.

On the RotoHog forum now.
"We are aware of the problem where users are getting the message that players cannot be sold until Tuesday for some players.
We are looking into this problem. In the meantime, you can bench the player then sell them as a workaround. We're sorry for the inconvenience.
Regards, The RotoHog Team"

Trying to show patience and not sell guys who are falling who are still near the top of the list. I know that when managers come on today they will just start buying those guys. It has already happened a few times. Still my team's value is yo-yoing. Am only up about $15 today. That glitch just stunk. That's prime money-making time!

Anybody know what would happen if you buy players and wind up with less than 50 cents in the bank?
ie - are you not gonna be able to sell anyone from your roster in that case???
(just curious)

Not a problem, because the sell fee is netted from the sell proceeds.

The patience thing has been working out nicely. Creeping up very slowly all day since Noon or so.

It seems as though the early morning crowd is dominated by active traders who are quick to take gains when the first sign of weakness appears.
The afternoon/evening active tends to be much more laid back, generally following the daily/weekly trends, but in slow motion.

I'm starting to think we may not see many sell outs after all. A number of teams already have very inflated roster values, yet I've seen very little inflation in the top players.
Also, since people pay much more attention to match-ups in football, I don't see anyone being the guy every week. For instance, I have enough money to field my "ideal" lineup this week, and LT2 isn't in it. Neither is Peyton Manning.

I suspect there is a high level of attrition (dropouts), which makes the effective sellout ratio much higher than advertised.
Too bad in a way, because that was one of the primary features that makes this game unique. If it turns out to be a non-issue, then it's essentially a daily-pricing version of the TSN game.

Did Tom Brady have a big sell-off yesterday? He was at $62 and now at $52. That seems a bit odd based on what I've seen prices do before.

My value is down to about where it was when the week started, but I think it's because I just haven't been rotating them as much. When I do they fall faster, obviously.

I've been eating it big time on Westbrook. Does no one remember last year? He did this every single week and was still awesome.
