Hope I found all the adjustments for week two. Like week one, TB and Colts were adjusted down and also joined by Packers, Vikings and Saints.

I'll work on records and franchise standings soon.

Well Ref, at least you got Favre for a ONLY 3rd rounder!

I made a couple stupid bets at the beginning of the season. I thought I could hold a QB Ransom and get some decent return based on the scarcity of QB's in this league in Tavaris Jackson. Well my phone isnt ringing :/ Worry about things you can and can't control is my lesson.

Another funny thing, Adrian Wilson on the unemployment line. Wish I actually followed the add/drops diligently instead of waiting until I need something! Had I done that like GO, I would have AJ Hawk (pick 1.04), Adrian Wilson (1.02), & Will Witherspoon (1.09) as my IDP's!

You really have to follow all aspects of this league and you'll eventually find some gold like Adrian Wilson.

Adrian Wilson: bad hamstring may hamper his play all year. Had to drop him in a much shallower league, even though he was the only IDP I went high for.

So we get to the $ 64,000 question...is a healthy Adrian Wilson a keeper next year? How many IDPs are?

We'll find out next April.

SW acquires GO's 1st Round pick, GO acquires SW's 1st Round Pick

Good trade for both!

JaMarcus to Porter double up in points, a back who'se seeing his workload increase and arguably one of the leagues top DE's.

GO gets what was once a stud WR who has been plagued by a "conservative" offense and nick-nack injuries...talent is definitely there, now its just a matter of execution from Campbell.

Yeah, welcome Santana back to "the Jets"... I wouldn't be surprised if actually had a good game vs. his old team on Sunday. Maybe gets a few extra balls thrown his way.

And we know Slizz loves the QB+WR combo cause Clemens and Cotchery are unattainable for the rest of their careers!
Maybe the Bears draft Brohm and I can pick Brohm and trade for Berrian. Thats my only chance of ClemensToCotchery ever joining the G24 Jets where they rightfully belong.

Cripes. As of right now, if I had checked availability and picked up Patten, I would be ahead by 0.01. Despie being a fluke team, with a good record only because I have has the fewest points scored against in the league, and even with Cutler injured, I would have been 2-0 and still really in the playoff hunt.

I need for Curtis to catch one more pass..whoops! He just did it. I would have lost anyway. Otherwsie, in my capacity as owner, I would have had to fire myself as general manager.

Franchise Standings and Records updated in the leagues forum.

DS went nuts! 2nd best overall. Also broke the Pick-ems mark.

I bolded most of the records that were added this week. Not going to mess with bolding overall wins and losses.

OK so does no one want to win the AFC West? mjd has done well lately and pulled to .500. What a story that would be if he took that team he inherited this year to the playoffs!

Looks like there are teams who could clinch after this week.

Current playoff standings:
AFC
1. Colts 13-5
2. Raiders 10-8
3. Bengals 12-6
4. Ravens 10-8
Best of the rest: Texans, Chargers, Bills (9-9)

NFC:
1. 49ers 14-4
2. Cardinals 14-4
3. Eagles 12-6
4. Vikings 12-6
Best of the Rest: Rams, Saints (10-8)

Pickems Top 7 (Lowest week dropped weeks 1-14)
1. Colts 122
2. Bears 118
2. Jags 118
2. Chargers 118
5. Eagles 117
6. Raiders 111
7. Jets 105

4 from each side. Each div. is guaranteed one team and a top 2 seed.

The other 16 teams will play in a single elimination tourney as well. 1v4 and 2v3 in each conference. Winners and losers play each other. Same thing goes for the finals/3rd/5th/7th place games.

Teams 9-16 play for the Wanna-Be Bowl. It's straight seeding w/o regard for conference affiliation. 9v16 and so on. Same thing goes for teams 17-24 for the Toilet Bowl. Also for teams 9-24, the post season games will not count for draft seeding so winning will not hurt you at all.

It's also in our constitution.

While GO brings it up I would always like to look at possibly bringing the playoffs to six teams per conference, promotes activity throughout and gives the top two teams per conference a well deserved bye week.

Not enough weeks in the season. By scrapping week 17, we have 3 weeks to get in our tourney. Anything more shortens the regular season. I tried to think of all kinds of possibilities when we thought we were going 6 divisions this year but nothing we came up with worked out. CBS isn't set up to allow more than four divisions--hence no realignment.

I hate Green Bay's defense. Have since the 67 NFL Championship game vs Dallas in the Cottom Bowl. The Ice Bowl in 68 was just lucky piling on.

Messing with the Cowboys are one thing, now they're screwing with my fantasy team....

First - it's Larry Johnson last weekend with a possible broken foot (no one's really saying in KC). Now AP's out for who knows how long with a lateral collateral ligament tear

I don't know what's worse, knowing about AP, or guessing about LJ. At least there's hope for LJ to play at this point. At least the bye weeks are over and Andre should play.

Houston doesn't play Green Bay do they?

RE 130: I need clarification when you say each division is guaranteed a top 2 seed. Does that mean if one division has 2 teams(other than its top seed) that are better than the other division's 2nd best team, that 2nd best team from the weaker division still gets in?

I hope that makes sense. For example, I can remember in previous years the NFC South getting 3 teams in before(1 top seed and 2 WCs)

Pete, it's the same way it has always been. Nothing has changed. But since we have all slept since then was refreshing people's minds since not everyone reads the rules.

Maybe I can make it simpler by saying the best three teams in each conference are guaranteed entry into the playoffs. Each Division winner is guaranteed entry into the playoffs and the next best two teams get wilc card entries--regardless of division within that conference. The Division winners get the top two seeds. So if one division's winner is say 6-20, they still would get the #2 seed even if all the other playoff teams have a much better record.

I haven't had a lot of time today to update our franchise standigns or records but everyone can basically look and see who is in the playoffs if we ended today. A lot can change though. There are teams who are currently outside teh playoffs looking in who could probably win it all. That NFC South Division is so strong that someone is going to get left out who would make it in another division.

I just don't see how fantasy football can be fair to those who have to work all day compared to those who sit at home at the computer all day or work...

Something I think our league should vote on, we have 3 to 10 commishs, shouldn't be hard to manage :)

What? 3 to 10 commishs? There is no way we can limit it. That's not an option CBS gives us to control. If you need to make a move you can email us and we can make that move for you. You can look things over on Mon or all day Tuesday. You can put in waiver claims. And if you don't wish to use it, then you're rolling the dice. I travel--so should everyone be unable to pick up players when I'm out of town?

1 - was sarcasim with the commish because I really don't know how many we have these days..

2 - it isn't about Waivers... it is about announcements that come out on Wednesday and Thursday I.E. Ricky today Without email, internet, etc had no idea he was reinstated or even out there. I'm sure GO and others didn't either. So those who do have internet access and sit at the computer all day probably did.

3 - I know you travel, but i'm at an office that has no internet access to these sort of sites at all for 8-10 hours a day.

4 - It was a suggestion for the entire league... If I was thinking about myself only, I would of said make it at 6pm eastern time, but I tried to make it so everyone would be home or a have chance.

Problem is that everyone has different working working hours or times they are busy or traveling etc. This is actually the first I've heard about Ricky being reinstated so different hours wouldn't help me there either.

The only way we could implement something like that would be to make all players go on waivers everyday, and then people could put in a waiver claim on them that would run that night at 1AM or whenever it is. I'm not sure we can force all players to waiver status or not everyday, but something to think about.

Of course either option would eliminate the ability to pick up a player and start them the same day on gameday unless somehow gamedays were made an exception.

Promize, we have two commishs only. The one year we had rfs as the treasurer and gave him commish privs even though he wasn't commishing. We've really only had two commishs for all 6 years of the league. Not sure if you're getting your leagues confused or what. Hence, I didn't get the sarcasm. Still don't actually, but it's fine.

Cards made my point. Just because you work during the day in whatever time zone you work in, doesn't mean everyone shares those hours. All I was saying was that there would never be a perfect solution. I've lost many of players due to not being able to be around when announcements came out over the years.

What's funny is that I actually tried to dump Ricky after I got him for someone else but it wouldn't let me do it. I took too long and someone else got the guy I wanted in the interim, so I kept Ricky.

Its cool, like I said that commish part was just goofin with you all...

As I was sitting at work today, I did start thinking about the settings with CBS and said wait.. I think you can do Waivers everynight..

So why not? Of course this year is to late in the year to do it, but I would like to have a vote or whatever we need to do to bring it up for next year. I don't plan on losing my job this year, so I figure I will be in the same boat. I do believe late Friday night or Early Saturday morning you can open the flood gates again and make it F/A

No problem at all. We will have a vote next fall if there is some support for it.

I am looking at the league settings though and don't see a setting where we can do daily waivers w/o allowing them to go unclaimed. There is a setting which tells what day waivers would run. Maybe it's in a different location but I sure can't find it. I've never heard of a league doing this before, but again, if the league decides that's what it wants to do and we can accomodate it then I'm good with it as well.

Waivers run every night right now. But, I think the confusion lies in the free agents. After waivers run, the unclaimed players go to free agents. Dropped players go to the waiver wire where they may be claimed and awarded on the day he's eligible.

As I said previously, the only other option I see is to move back initial waivers from the Tues night/Wed morning. That can be tough because some teams need to figure out if they got their claims so they can move to plan B if nec. due to injuries and bye weeks--esp with the Thurs night games.

Here are our waiver options:

I looked at the settings too and see no way to force all players into waivers every day.

There is a FAAB or whatever it is called that could possible be made to work. That option is really meant for a budget league, but if two bids submitted are equal, then it defaults to a list and whoever is higher on the list wins the free agent and is moved to the bottom of the list. So if desired, there could 'possibly' be a method to do that. It would take some research to see if it would work or not, but usually these type of workarounds have limitations making them untenable but we can look into it. Like Ref, I have never been in a league that did it that way, but that doesn't necessarily mean it can't be done if that is what everyone wants.

Cards I saw that bu skipped over it because it was for money bids. But agian, it is for waivers only. Has no bearing on Free Agents or would have any bearing on placing everyone on waivers again or preventing free agency to occur.

Essentially (IIUC), what Promize is proposing is for players to stay on the WW until late in the week but every day waivers run--but only those players claimed can come off waivers until then.

CBS does not have that function. The only thing we could do is not let the waivers to run until later in the week. With Thursday games, we could only push it back one day at the most and that still wouldn't address his concerns in totality.

Here is part of what I read about it.

FAAB stands for Free Agent Acquisition Budget. Every add/drop is granted via a blind, bidding system that is processed automatically. Each time an owner has an add/drop processed, they will be placed at the bottom of the FAAB order. If there is a tie for a player, the FAAB order is used; the owner that is higher in the list will receive the player and be moved to the bottom.

I realize it is
161StLCards

a budget system, but we could possibly give people a $1 budget or something. Like I said, it would take some research to figure out how and if it would even work and that is assuming people would even want to consider implementing a restriction on free agent pickups in the first place.

The afc must really bode some average teams bc I am scheduled to put up 104 pts and am a dog to a 8 and 12 squad. I am in the #4 spot and have been without a QB or javon walker the entire year!!! Now clemens is going and I get walker back next week. But still my point is the NFC is really strong if a squad as solid as yours is below .500

Maroney - constantly injured
McGahee - another team with no offense
Ward - injured beginning
C. Johnson - future is bright
Pope - took forever to finally have big game
GB Def - solid, but if I had kept the Lions! lol

What is the biggest disaster???? Alex Smith, what a waste on a #1 draft pick
