Hey all...

Me and some guys are looking to go to a Packers game at Lambeau this fall. We've been looking at Ebay and Stubhub, but was wondering if anyone has a preferred ticket broker, or another means of getting 4 tickets?

Also, anyone familiar with Lambeau, can you suggest a good area to sit? Any bad areas?

I've used StubHub a couple of times and found it to be completely on the up-and-up. I even order tickets on Wednesday night for a Saturday game and got the tickets, as promised, before noon on Friday.

Sorry I can't help with Lambeau, but hope you have as good of an experience as I've had with StubHub.

The prices on StubHub look very comparable compared to the other sites I have been checking on, so I think based on the name, I will probably go with them.

Anyone been to Lambeau? Are the endzone seats good in terms of view?

barilko6 - I sit in the east corner of the south end zone (basically, right on a line with the tunnel that the Packers run out of) in row 54, 6 rows from the top of the old stadium and now maybe 15-20 rows down with the installation of the club seats.

The view is fantastic, unbeatable even, when the ball is inside the 40 on our side of the field. Only OK when the ball's between the 40s and once the ball gets inside the 40 on the north side, we start to lose perspective. When it's inside the 20 on the other end, we're pretty much guessing how far the play's going; back in '95 when Yancey Thigpen dropped an easy TD pass to give the Pack their first NFC Central title in 23 years, I could only tell what happened when I saw people in the first couple rows jump up; could not see the ball at all.

I love it.

Thanks Mark!!! That is great info.

My next question is, when looking for tickets, should we be looking at higher rows that allow us to look down on the field better, ie: your 54th row location?

Mark....

We have two choices, and one of them is the first row in section 346. Would that be better than Section 107, row 28?

The first row of 346 would put you in the club seats, directly behind the southwest corner of the end zone, about 61 rows up from the field. 28th row of 107 is in the northeast corner of the end zone, a little closer than halfway down from the top of the stadium.

I haven't been below the 54th row since the mid-70s; have to think that the view from row 28 is somewhat better than what I have in 54.

The nice thing about the club seats is that they are baseball-style stadium seats; each person gets his own chair. In the bowl (rows 1 through 60) the seats are aluminum benches with no backs. You really run into problems there in late-season games when everyone is wearing a snowmobile suit and looking like the Michelin Tire guy -- there's barely enough room for normal people, let alone the super-sized beer slammers from Wisconsin. Or even in good weather, you can get stuck next to a couple that easily weighed 300 each, like I did at the Eagles game 2 weeks ago, and spend the entire game with your knees pinned together and your elbows jammed into your gut.

Thanks a ton Mark. Just bought a set of 4 for the Green Bay Carolina game!

Excellent. Where are you sitting? I'll come by and say hi.

We went with the club seats. We figured we would lose a bit on view, but get a better bird's eye view of the field, and the better seats.
