Subject: Who to start week 4.

I'll start things off this week.
I've been doing fairly well until the injury bug nipped Ahman Green who as my wr/rb slot starter. Here are my options:
Samkin Gado: He's a starter and he starting against a poor excuse of a run D @Atl. But he didn't really look at all spectacular last week vs Ind.
Sammy Morris: No, he's not a starter. But signs indicate he's getting the goal line carries. He's also getting a fair number of touches each game and is up against an even worse D @Cin. They've given up a league high 5.4 yrds/carry. But might this lead to more big runs from Maroney and possibly less goal line chances?
Roddy White: He's a starter who's QB seems to like him. He's piling up passes and yardage. But he's on the depth chart behind Joe Horn who is available on the FA list in my league. Is Horn a viable option?
In all, each has a nice + (match up, match up, apparent favorite target?) and each has a not-so-nice drawback (doesn't impress, not a starter, not a #1 guy). I'm leaning towards Gado as he starts and against that D, he has the best chance to impress. |

Harrington seems to like Roddy White, I think thats who I would go with, he's gonna put up better numbers than Horn, regardeless of the depth chart. Gado I guess could be interesting, I haven't really followed whats going on with the RB's in Houston. I know Green is banged up, so is Dayne. I guess if Gado is gonna get all the work, then I'd start him over White.
Anyways else frustrated with Reggie Brown??? Do I keep starting him or is it time for Vincent Jackson to emerge?

I parked R Brown on the bench last week. If I dont see something from him soon, he's getting cut to make room for another WR.

Re: 0 Khahan I'd go with Roddy White. He's the favorite target down in HOTlanta, and he seems like he'll be primed to get more yards through the air than Gado and Morris will running it. Since Cincy has been giving up a lot of big plays I don't expect too many goal line runs from Morris, but a lot of long runs from Maroney and big pass plays with Brady-Moss. Gado is the backup to Dayne right now. If Dayne is hurt (more) between now and then it might change.
I am in a bye week who to start situation: Ron Dayne vs. Sam Gado I am really leaning towards Dayne since everything I have heard is he's the starter. But his ribs are still sore and all it takes is on the first running play to get popped good by someone on the Falcons defense. Gado at least got a TD in last weeks game. Either way I am going to be looking at the Falcons game and will probably be upset with who I choose. If anyone wants to warrant a guess on this one please do.

I picked up Dayne in one league this week, to sitin for S Jackson who is out with injury for now. (The fact that I chose Dayne, is probably strong argument for your going with Gado.)

I think I'm going with Roddy White. Gado seems to have already been bumped from the starting RB. Dayne practiced Wed and appears ready to go for game time. Of course, this could all change in the next day or two. Kyle, it sounds as if your choice is being made for you by their coach. From what I just read, Dayne is back and starting.

NE D vs Cincy
or
Hou D vs Atl
I think NE will win vs Cincy, but I see something on the order of 38-31 type of thing and that bodes ill for a D's scoring in any format.
Atl on the other hand...has J Harrington at QB and that bodes well. Atl is also 0-3 and has shown little in the way of offensive spark so far. Houston, has been playing quite well and I look for them to win the game. 24-13 or something more along those lines.
I've got Hou pencilled in for now. Just wanted to get some feedback from others. (The host site...cbssportsline, has NE projected to outscore Hou using our system this week; but I dont agree with them.)

Too bad you can't start all three. I say Parker and Jordan.

Parker and TJ.
3 games and Buff has allowed 100+yds rushing in every one of them along with 2 300yd passers. A good chunk of the Buff D starters, are hurt. Start almost anyone facing Buff IMHO.

Matt Schaub Vs ATL or Brian Griese Vs DET
ATL DEF giving up under 200yds a game passing, DET is 2nd worst in NFL on passing yards but how will Griese do in his 1st game. Will they just keep basic packages and slow start opening up the play book? Sarge had to jinx Schaub by drafting his best WR and his other WR’s are also banged up. Think of rolling the dice and going with Griese. Just have a gut feeling that the Bears go wild. 52-13

I'd actually go Griese. Chicago will have to keep up and Detroit's D can make ven Rex Grossman look like a starter.

re 6...well, I was dead wrong with the Hou D vs Atl instead of the NE D vs Cincy. Cost me a game too. :(
