Romo, Brady & Moss are all out currently.

As a Dolphin fan who gave up on the season before it started, it is actually quite surprising to see Ronnie Brown is so high up on the points list as the #5 player and #1 running back.

I'm almost tempted to buy Manning and stow him on my bench, but I doubt he will sell out until after his bye, so I won't do that unless I have a lot of extra cash.

I was down $30 this morning. Part of that was having Houshmazilli on my team. Forgot about his bye week.

I have got to go with my gut in this game. Week two I went against it and it was a bad week. I fell from one of the top teams to 1386. Then last week I jumped back to like 150 or so. This week I had my key personnel, but got strapped for cash and went against my intial thought on few players. I had to sell a player to afford a K. I had planned to sell Roy Williams, but when Calvin was inactive and the weakened Bears secondary, I sold him. The K I had planned to get would have been great but a friend suggested that Reed was the best bet this week. UGH! Then instead of getting Dallas Clark as planned, I got Shockey. Double UGH! What's more, I had planned to go Barber to Addai Sat night but I didn't get home until late on sat and the money wasn't working out on Sunday with the transaction fees. Oh well.

Thismorning I got burned with Graham yet again (lost almost $5 on him) and Dilfer. Thought I missed some news on him or something. I do so much better when I go with what I know. Oh well, maybe some luck will take the place of what I'm lacking elsewhere.

I did miss something on Dilfer afterall. Still, who would really start him?

I skipped Dilfer as well, for the same reason.

I know he's cheap for a starter. But it doesn't appear that sellouts are going to be much of an issue, which makes his fundamental value dubious at best. I didn't want to have to pay close attention to his price during the week just to get out before the inevitable return to earth.

Guru - can you put a link to rotohog in the football forum games section please. That would be much easier than doing it from the baseball link and I'm too lazy to type it in directly each time. Thanks.

Boy Ref, I don't think I'd call the person that recommended Reed a friend....
Duh, feel good that not only did I recommend him, but also had him.

Dang.

Just got up, so no moves so far.

I'm kind of amazed to be in the top 50. I've never been particularly strong in football, and I don't feel like I've had particularly stellar results so far this year. For example, this week I had Marion Barber, Steve Smith, and TO. Granted, I did have Romo, Brady and Moss, but I figured they would be widely held among by the top teams.

Comparatively, my best team in TSN is ranked 794 out of about 19,000.

How many teams are playing RH football?

Guru -

I am in the same boat. My cheapie TE have netted me like 6 points all season, I had a bunch of non-performers, but I have had Brady and Moss all season. I am in 134th, only 12 points from the top 100. and my team value is finally approaching 400, so I have been skimping a ton. And totally going with my gut.

I am in 706th place with about $420, so the top 100 is a real longshot at this point. I'll just keep plugging away and see what happens. I do have 2 of the 3 sell out players (Romo & Moss), but making consistent money on Tuesdays has alluded me. Especially with trying to figure out the bid/ask on bye week players (and the NEXT weeks bye players), and all the weekly price adjustments RH has been making.

But I did amazingly claim a weekly price with a 7th place finish in week 2. I haven't heard anything from RH on that yet though, so not sure what I will actually win.

donk44 - I'm in a similar situation...1178th place with $414 and 2 sell outs (Brady and Moss). I'm not convinced the top 100 is as unlikely as you think.

BTW, I think I saw a post from fantasybaseballguy that prize winners for the first three weeks had been contacted, so you may want to send customer service an email.

Although one week does not confirm a trend, it looks like the impact of "no fee Wednesday" is rather significant.

On Tuesday, players are dumped to raise cash for opportunistic investing, or to shed bye week players and recent underperformers who might suffer price declines.

On Wednesday, the opportunitic buys from Tuesday are sold off, and the proceeds are put back into starters for the week - including many of those higher-valued players who were dumped the day before.

I thinks it's particularly noteworthy that some of this morning's bigger gainers include Steve Smith, Tomlinson, TO, and Gates - reversing much of (or even more than) yesterday's losses.

Meanhile, the big losers this morning are Larry Johnson, Graham, Ronnie Brown, Bowe, and Dilfer - all of who led the gainers on Tuesday.

Looks like getting up early (west coast time) on Wednesdays will also be important if one wants to maximize gains/losses.

TO was sold out but I managed to get him back by hitting the refresh button off and on for the past hour. Bought back Steve Smith also (up $4) and took small losses on Brown, Bowe, Crayton, Edge.

Picked up my D/K also. The second RB position will be a differentiator this week as there are lots of potential plays especially with Addai banged up and Colts going on bye following week.
