Baltimore Defense vs. MIA
or
Minnesota Defense vs. CHI (and Orton) on MNF

Reggie Brown vs. DAL or Jerricho Cotchery vs. NWE?
No points for catches.
I'm thinking NYJ are playing from behind - so Cotchery should throw up some decent numbers.
Also thinking the Dallas secondary is horrible.

Last option is bench Lee Evans... but I think he has earned a weekly start.

I'd go with Minnesota. The Bears are on thier 3rd string QB and thier backup RB (Adrian Peterson, who is actually better than Benson). That said Da Bears don't have someone to back up their AP, so the running game shouldn't be that strong against Minnesota's bad rush defense. And Neckbeard doesn't scare me.

Your WRs are tricky. I see the Jets actually trying to make this a game. In order to do that they have to run the ball. If I were Mangenius I would run the ball 50 times up the middle. If you get 2 men blocking Wilfork you have the rest of the middle of the field to run up since the LB's on NWE are more concerned with stopping the pass. That said they could be playing from behind and Cotch would see alot of action if they end up passing. I actually like Reggie over Cotch since the Eagles throw the ball alot more with McNabb in the lineup. And you are right Dallas's Secondary isn't that great.

Lee Evans @Cleveland is an automatic start. Cleveland is basically last in every defensive catagory.

Jerricho Cotchery (questionable, finger) was limited in Friday's practice.

Cotchery has always given the Patriots fits, but passing could be a struggle for both teams with 50 MPH wind gusts expected in Foxborough. He is expected to be in action, but carries a lot of risk as a fantasy play.

50 mph winds - are all those people that rode Brady and Moss all season going to actually be on a level playing field?!

Seems like the Jets +24 points is the way to go there. Maybe.

The New York Daily News' Ralph Vacchiano writes that Jeremy Shockey (abdomen, questionable) "should be able to play" in Week 15.
but all good as far as his New Years Eve planning is concerned....

Who is gonna submit an application? :)

Hard to imagine not starting Baltimore vs. the putrid Dolphins. Personlly I'd go with Brown over Cotchery. NE def, weather, and injury are all minuses.

How bout some help with my RB's:

Jamal Lewis vs. Buffalo
Earnest Graham vs. Atlanta
Ryan Grant vs. St.Louis

I can start 2 of em. Same as last week, all 3 have fairly good matchups, and all are on a roll. Right now I have Grant and Lewis starting, but benching Graham against Atl is just killing me. Anyone have any helpful info on this?

I decided to go with Graham and Grant over Lewis. I see a lot of predictions that bad weather means a big day for J.Lewis because the Browns won't be able to pass effectively. I'm having a hard time seeing the logic in that. Poor passing means poor field position and fewer TD's, right?

Lewis is probably still a decent play but I'm gonna go with the 2 RB's who won't be affected by weather. It was the only factor that I could find to separate the 3. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble finding rushing stats with weather splits.

Hope it works out. I already made the mistake of dropping Mario Williams for Greg White this week. Ug.

Baltimores Defense is so banged up, they are literally without 4 defensive backs and risk getting burnt by the Ginn and Tonic JR. I mean their run d is sufficient, but they could definitely throw a couple pick 6's...definitely a risky play.

If i were you, I'd see who else is on the waiver wire, like Seattle's defense (they're facing the PANTHERS!) or Atlanta's (Tampa Bay isnt that great on offense and they could secure a couple turnovers or sacks if Garcia isnt starting again) or even Kansas City's (TEN). Tennessee is terrible on offense and Vince Young is always good for a couple picks and sacks. LenWhale is always good for a couple fumbles too.

As for your WR dillema...I'd start cotchery. Reggie Brown hardly ever gets a TD, and on top of that the most upside he brings is 60 yards. I dont see him doing much vs that stingy dallas defense. Even with 60mph winds, you know the jets love that dink and dank offense and cotch/coles are always good for the YAC yardage.

Also, how about Scheff for Olsen in the offseason? :)

HOLT: Earnest Graham vs. Atlanta, Ryan Grant vs. St.Louis.

Grant is this years Maurice Jones-Drew. He is good for a TD. Graham has been the workhorse for tampabay, and could definitely get the most yardage...but you're risking no TDs. I think hes the better risk than Jamal Lewis b/c he is so hit or miss on the season whereas Graham has at least given you some type of consistency.

I wonder how many fantasy teams' season ended simply because Brian Westbrook decided to stop at the one yard line rather than step into the endzone?

Went with Reggie Brown over Cotchery because of the weather in New England. That worked out.
Stuck with Minnesota vs. Chicago tonight over Baltimore hoping for some Orton INT magic.

So I have Minnesota +20 points vs. Adrian Peterson. Should be interesting.

and yeah... very unselfish and smart thing for Westbrook to do, and as the announcer said - probably fantasy owners out there throwing their remote at the TV! lol.. That will go down in fantasy playoff infamy. I wonder how many other players in the league would have made the same play.

Was Westbrook unselfish and smart, or was he scared???

Philadelphia Daily News - With 2 minutes, 19 seconds left and the Philadelphia Eagles leading the Dallas Cowboys by 10-6, the eventual final score, the ball was snapped at the Dallas 25-yard line and it was handed to Westbrook and he went off right tackle and broke into the secondary.

He was free. He was clear. He was going to score the touchdown that put the Eagles up 11 points with about 2:10 remaining.

And then he stopped on the 1-yard line.

It was a selfless act with a strategic purpose. Dallas was out of timeouts. After the 2-minute warning, all the Eagles would have to do was kneel three times and the game would be theirs.

What we found out later was that he had a little help in the decision-making from right tackle Jon Runyan.

"I just want to help this team win - and I got a stern talking-to by Jon Runyan right before that play," Westbrook said.

"He said, 'Listen, if you get down to the 1, take a knee.' I was like, 'Ahhh . . . ' He said, 'Take a knee, Westbrook, take a knee.' "

haha - yeah, credit Westbrook's fear of Runyan for that.
