From Mike Florio's Sporting Blog:
7. Jerry Jones will make a big splash
With another embarrassing and early exit from the playoffs and a new stadium on the horizon, Cowboys owner/GM Jerry Jones will feel compelled to make a big splash this offseason. The most popular speculation is he'll trade his two first-round picks and running back Marion Barber (a restricted free agent) to the Miami Dolphins for the No. 1-overall selection in the NFL Draft. Jones then could select Arkansas running back Darren McFadden. That's not the only power play Jones might make. With wide receiver Randy Moss hitting the open market Feb. 29 -- unless the Patriots use the franchise tag on him -- hauling in the single-season touchdown receptions leader would create a compelling Texas tandem of Terrell Owens and Moss. There is only one football, though, and that could create a problem. Likewise, Jones would have to give Owens, who is entering the final year of his contract, a big raise to ensure there would be no locker-room rivalry. Regardless of whether he acquires McFadden, Moss or someone else, count on one thing: Jones will do something big aimed at making his team better.
What are your guys thoughts?

Go film another commercial, you clown, then come back and talk to us after your team has won a playoff game.
The only splash Jones is certain to make is when he drops his Scotch on the floor.
Moss will be a Patriot for some time.

No way do I want Moss/TO in the same locker room. Not enough balls to get to the both of them.

OTH, it would be a Def Coord nightmare.
How would you dble cover Moss, dble TO, account for Whitten and have anyone left to cover the ground game or RB receptions? (In the ridiculous relm of "what if": Now, if he did that move AND swapped Barber for Westie....good gawd...no way to slow that O down.) Then again, no way to get everyone sufficient touches either.

Honestly...I thought Moss was headed to the Jaguars. Younger team, really just missing that elite WR to make a serious Super Bowl push. Moss lives in Florida and the Jaguars have cap room...it seems like a win/win.
But seriously, could you imagine the possibilities with that offense as long as those two can stay healthy. And you know JJ isnt one to shy away from spending money.
Its only a matter of time before they become the Washington Redskins (cap hell), with the way he spends money.

Didn't TO already say he couldn't play with Moss a couple of years ago?

i love the whole "Jones is going to draft McFadden because he has a hard-on for Razorbacks" thing, when he hasn't drafted one player from Arkansas.

Not enough balls to get to the both of them.
Wes Welker caught 112 passes this year with Moss on the field. Moss and TO stay pretty happy as long as they get their's and thier team is winning. Bad times bring out the a$$ in both of them.

They'd be dangerous, but I don't like either one of them. Then again, Dallas would be a good fit.

I don't think that the Pats would let him go. And he would be stupid to go anywhere just for money. He has a really good shot at getting a ring their, and Brady probably would lobby to get him back.
Wasn't their talk of when TO was in Philly, that they were going to get him from Oakland?

I never really heard that Electro. It's common for people to talk about stuff like that though, as is being done now. I can't see them playing together anywhere, really.

I probably heard it on some sports talk, no foundation to it. Moss was going to many places when he was in Oakland.
I wonder though, if Moss hits the open market, would the Eagles take a run at him?
