I haven't done this in years. I don't even really remember basic strategies. I believe it's smart to rotate stud D each week. Go with Stud QB, RB, and Cheap WR correct? Anyway I decided to make one this year. Here is my team so far. Input and criticism is appreciated.
QB
Romo vs. Cleveland Bye Week 10 Warner vs. 49ers Bye Week 7
RB
Westbrook vs. Rams Bye Week 7 Addai vs. Chicago Bye Week 4 Barber vs. Browns Bye Week 10
WR
Rasheed Davis vs. Colts Bye Week 8 Courtney Taylor vs. Bills Bye Week 4 Eddie Royal vs. Oakland Bye Week 8
TE Shockey vs. TB Bye Week 9
K Gould Bye Week 8
D Colts vs. Bears Bye Week 4
At a first glance it looks like I have to many Bears and Colts players. Isn't it dumb to have so many players in one game?
Please help me guys I feel like a newbie again :( |

I like your approach on the bar-belling WRs & RBs.
I saved about $.6M on the kicker by going with the Denver rookie. I figure they are all about the same anyway and he's a mile high half the time.
Instead of Reed, I picked up $1M DeSean Jackson PHI with the $.6M I recovered from the kicker (Prater). Jackson's starting this week for Philly and could be returning kicks also.
As far as the number of players in the same game, as long as they score the points you want, it's okay. ;). The Bears concern me because of their inconsistancy. The Colts because Peyton hadn't thrown a ball in practice, much less a game until this week. Of couse he is Peyton. lol
Pretty close in approach, a little different in style. I like to try and barbell one WR & one RB. Good luck this season.

Chrome is FAST!!!
Instead of the rookie Prater K, i went with the wiley veteran Martin Gramatica in NO for the same price. Cheap veteran kicker in a dome for a high scoring offense... as long as he doesn;t hurt himself celebrating a kickoff, he should be very serviceable.

I have same QB combo. Went with cheapie TE but could be persuaded to change to Shockey if i could save some bucks elsewhere. Cheapie K in Denver you say? That might do it.
I also had Jackson at WR and I think I lowered my RBs some and upgraded one WR to Owens.

bili - As I said, mine's pretty close in approach, so I like his team. I try & pick who I think's going to be price gainers for next week. I don't go all stud in RB, rather I bar-bell a cheaper RB with a Stud WR. That's the big difference in our teams.
If I can hit on a couple of the cheap price gainers - maybe I can save a trade. lol

Definitely looks like the Romo/Warner combo is going to be the money maker for week one... I did that for two of my teams, but also liked who McNabb matches up with against in week 1 so went McNabb/Warner.
Thanks for the headsup on the cheap kicker pick...
Westbrook also looks to be a popular week one pick.
