0 Subject: Having a Tough Time deciding on roster this week

Need some help guys. Really don't want to start 0-2 on the season. I have a few tough decisions if you could help me out.

Scoring:

All TD's = 6
10 Rush Yards = 1
10 Rec Yards = 1
30 Pass Yards = 1
Receptions = 0.5

We start the following

QB
RB
RB
WR
WR
WR
WR/RB
TE
K
D

My Roster is

QB Hasselbeck, Garrard
RB: Tomlinson, Kevin Smith, Chris Perry, Mendenhall, and Sproles
WR: Fitzgerald, Brandon Marshall, Colston, Royal, Javon Walker, Baskett
TE: Tony Gonzalez
D: Titans

I am not sure who to start at QB, WR and possibly flex.

Hasselbeck is playing SF, but does he even have any receivers left? Garrard looked terrible last week and Buffalo has a pretty good D. I am leaning towards Hasselbeck now, but not sure. I am starting Tomlinson and Smith at RB. Fitzgerald and Marshall at WR. With the Colston injury who should my 3rd WR be? Eddie Royal looked awesome last week, but with Marshall back he is going to get less targets. Also am concerned about starting 2 WR in the same offense. If I start Royal at 3rd WR. Who do I put in for the flex position? Mendenhall or Perry? Perry is playing a tough defense in Tennesse, but he is the starter. Mendenhall has a great matchup in Cleveland, but who knows how many carries he will get.

As of right now my roster is set as

QB: Hasselbeck
RB: Tomlinson, Smith
WR: Fitzgerald, Marshall, Royal
WR/RB: Chris Perry

Is that the optimal lineup?

That is exactly what I would start, no question in my mind.

agree with wiggs above:

my own question;

I can start 3 of the following 4 WRs

B Edwards
L Fitzgerald
B Marshall
D Bowe

Top 3 are the obvious choices, but how do I sit Bowe vs Oak, after what Royal did to them last week?

Sarge,

Don't be fooled into Bowe.

Eddie Royal is good. Bowe already showed he couldn't catch a cold.

Keep your lineup as is.

JTSERB,

The lineup you have is your best shot at a win this week. You are pretty jacked at WR. I would consider trading one out for a QB. Be careful though, your WRs are really good, you should be able to package Hasselbeck and a WR with for better QB and a stopgap WR in return. Get creative, you have plenty to trade with. Don't think 1 for 1, try packaging...

thanks Challenger. And just FTR, yes; I had Brady on a team in another league, and yes, I have V Young on a team in yet a different league. As a word of caution, Big Bed steps in for Brady this week. Can we say "bye bye" to Pitts season now?

JT - I would do the following:

Check is Jason Campbell is on Waivers b/c Hasselbeck couldn't do crap vs Buffalo. I mean the guy is down to his 5th string WR's and John Carlson...Reason why I like Campbell this week...SAINTS SECONDARY. It's garbage and there is no reason to think that Campbell won't put up big #'s.

I favor a contrarian-style QB selection and I think Campbell presents tremendous value at this point. People are low b/c of the way the NYG game went. I think every QB is gonna have a tough time facing that swarming defense, and Campbell is gonna breakout in week 2.

QB - Campbell, If not go with Garrard. I've always been a Hasselbeck fan, but I just don't like what he has to work with on offense. They are gonna load 8 in the box and make the WR's beat the Seahawks.

RB - LT, Kevin Smith (hope for 50 & a TD b/c he wont get you much more than that.)

WR - Brandon Marshall, Larry Fitzgerald, & WR off waivers. I dk how deep your league is, but if Antonio Bryant is on waivers, i'd get him for a quick "Spot Start" as he is the flanker in Tampa Bay. I predict at least 5 receptions for 60-70 yards and a TD as Griese doesn't like to go deep. Also look for James Jones from Green Bay

TE - Tony G...'nuff said

Flex - Javon Walker. I love Eddie Royal, but do you really want to hinge your chances on starting 2 Denver wideouts?

Any other week I'd start Perry...but hes gonna play a defense that held MJD & Fred Taylor to like 40 yards combined...there is no way he'll do anything this week as well.

I think with Javon back this week he could get at least 5 for 60 and a TD especially with the Raiders likely playing from behind.

Sarge - 1st off...how in the heck did you get all those studs on one team!! :)

B EdwardsL FitzgeraldB Marshall

Go with them. They are all clear #1's fantasy wise with good QB's throwing for them. You start them each week, no questions asked. I somehow got stuck with Bowe, much to my chagrin, in all my leagues...ugh.

JT,
I would also go with Garrard as Slizz said.
Stay away from Hasselbeck.

Sarge,
Ditto what Slizz said also.

Hey all.
Normally don't ask, but kind of the same situation as JT.

Helping my son manage a team in a work league.
10 Team (yeh, I know)
Fairly weird setup.

Bonus for 40 and 50 yard TDs whether running, receiving, or passing.
All TDs are 6 points.

QB - Brees
RB - S. Jackson, C. Johnson
WR - Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall
WR/R - ?
TE - ?
D/ST - Jax (over Minny)
K - Scobee

TE - Have Cooley and Zach Miller
My gut says to go with Cooley, but just not sure.
I drafted Miller because I am intrigued with his chances if they do throw to him.

Lots of options in the flex spot.
Gut instinct is Anquan Boldin or Maurice Jones-Drew.
Favoring Boldin

Also have Stewart, Berrian, Royal

Same thought though on not wanting two WR from Denver.

Thanks all.
