So right now I have a 3 team parlay that ends tonight with Dallas at -7. It pays out $244.63.

How many of you would hedge that bet with a play on Philly tonight?

what did you bet on the 3 team to win 244?

I really think Dallas covers and then some, but it wouldnt be a bad deal to drop like 100 on the eagles- that way you win 100 or you win 60

Yeah, I was thinking that way too...I really like Dallas in this game, but was thinking I could cash in either way.

Still undecided at this point.

Right now if I bet $100, I get 90.91 back.

So...

If Dallas would cover, I win back 244.63 plus my original 40, minus my $100 on Philly for 188.63

If Philly covers, I win back 90.91 plus my original 100 for Philly, for a total back of 190.91.

Does this make sense?

I'd bet philly straight up :)

Throw in the trio of CB's and Jim Johnson's relentless blitz, I think that could bode very well for the Birds.

From Peter King's MMQB:
Donovan McNabb is 10-5 lifetime against Dallas (4-3 at Texas Stadium), and, feeling lousy last year, threw for 208 yards in a 10-6 win over Dallas in December. If I were the Cowboys, that would worry me.

McNabb put up 38 points last week against the Rams (OK the Rams) and looked like vintage McNabb. With one exception -- he ran only once, for three yards. And in his conference call with Dallas reporters the other day, he said, "There's no 14-second scrambles with me anymore. I drop back, get the ball out of [my] hands and let my receivers work.''

No.
I dont think you should be counting the $100 back from the bet on Philly....you will "get that back" even if you dont bet.

The outcomes if you dont bet are:
Lose $40
Win $244.63

Bet:
Win $51.91
Win $144.63

I would lock in the gain. Be careful if Dallas wins by exactly 7. Not sure what happens then. On my site you can buy a point and change the odds a little if you want.

Yeah, after talking with friends, I decided to let it ride and go for the big win.

Probably not my best choice...haha

Tougher choices this weekend with nothing huge jumping out at me:

Buffalo -9
Houston +4.5
Chicago -3
GB/Dallas UNDER 51.5
Cleveland +2

Will beat these and mix some up for a parlay.

Really love the Mets tonight at Atlanta.

ughhhh

In 8 games for me at Turner Field this year, the team I root for is 0-8.

Mets vs. Braves 0-6
Braves vs. Phils 0-2

Don't do it barilko! I'm there rooting for my Mets tonight :(

I didn't really want to use the word "Lock", but I was very confident in that game, and was rewarded very nicely.

Meh...2 and 2 on my NCAA. The Spartans I hit the hardest though, by far, so still a very nice day.

0-4. I think I will stick with what I know best, baseball and college football.

But...

I do like the Texas/Oakland game tonight in MLB, and will be placing a wager on the under 10.5.

By the way, under 51.5 for GB/Dallas tonight!

I've always found the over/unders much easier, myself. That said, I don't gamble for $$ and if you looked at my Football Pickoff standings, you'll know why.

haha...yeah, I rolled a little extra in that DAL/GB under, so things were good this weekend.

I just wish that I had a better feeling for tonight's game. I like SD, but Monday Night Bret kind of scares me...

For those of you that do play for real, see my pick in post 21!

Today's Quick Williams' Specials: (Get em while you can!)

TB/Baltimore Game 1: OVER 9.5 I call this a Mexican Food Morning After Game: Lots of Runs.

Cleveland over Boston: With Clifford Lee taking the hill over Tim Wakefield, the Indians are patient at the plate and can force Wakefield to throw some 75 mile an hour medium speed balls (You can't call them fastballs) and Cleveland has been hot lately...

Book em!

Adding the Cubs as a huge upset special ML play as the underdog against the Mets. Not a large bet though.

Make sure you note the two great picks in post 26!

I use Bowmans. They promote pretty big up here in Canada, and make it really easy to open an account. (Nothing needs to be photocopied or faxed etc, etc, etc.)

You can set everything up and lay your first bet in a matter of minutes.
