I love the headlines during the game today about it...

"An accidental shooting in a club"...

So, let us examine the accidents..

While getting dressed to go to a club I accidently put my gun in my pocket...
somehow, I accidently made sure it was loaded... While at the club I then proceeded to accidently shoot myself...

aren't we exactly, like one year removed from the shooting death of sean taylor...arent we just a few months removed from the career ending, amputation necessary shooting of an offensive lineman for...jacksonville(?)..richard collier? was that his name?

are nfl players this dumb? who needs to bring a loaded gun to a nightclub? damned shame he didn't shoot off his foot and end his career, the frickin' moron...

According to PFT the penalty in NYC for illegally carrying a concealed weapon is 3.5 years in jail, no exceptions. That would go a long way to ending his career.

Plaxico Burress is expected to be charged with criminal possession of a weapon after shooting himself in the thigh Friday night. The felony chage results in a mandatory 3.5 year prison sentence.
"He went for his gun and fumbled it. And now it will cost him," a police source told the NY Daily News. Details continue to emerge, such as Antonio Pierce berating Plaxico for bringing the gun to a club. Pierce also stashed the gun for Burress and didn't call 911 at Plaxico's request, so he could face charges as well. Cops only learned about the incident after the Giants quietly reached out to them to report it.

Interesting to hear Michael Strahan talk about Plaxico. Basically he said that the coaches have tried hard to help Plaxico in the past, but at some point you have to want to help yourself.

Plaxico accepts a 2 year prison sentence on a reduced gun charge.

Guilty plea accepted

Manning better get used to his new receivers real quick. Plax is going to running some short "in routes" for a while.
