We are at a stalemate on who to start. Rivers is clearly a better QB, but MH faces St Louis @ SEA and their porous defense.
Any insight would be appreciated.
Rivers is @ OAK.

Hasselbeck.
I think with the STL defense being abysmal, coincided with SEA's offense coming back and Hasselbeck having a good WR (Housh) will lead to a pretty good season.

Jones and Spencer out.
So Hasselback will have have 2 starters out on his offensive line. For sure Spags will want his D to try to pressure the QB. Oaklands best passrusher hasn't reported yet, to the best of my knowledge. Me, I would start Rivers.

Hasselbeck. Rivers hardly puts up big #'s vs. Oakland b/c of their porous run defense (avg. 154 yards against per game - WORST in the NFL). Therefore, expect San Diego to run run run. While you probably drafted Rivers early for big games, I just don't see it happening as his splits point to no better than 225 yards and 2 TDs. Rivers Split Stats - 2008
