Need some advice on who to start. Need to pick 3 RB's to start from this list (1 at Flex) Darren McFadden-s Chris Johnson Donald Brown-s Alfred Morris-s Trent Richardson
Any advice would be appreciated. I put an -s after the ones I am leaning towards starting. Part of me thinks that CJ will have a good week since after last week he has something to prove but it scares me. He killed me last week.

Given Richardson's poor performance against the Eagles (and the Cleveland "offense" in general), I think you'd want to keep him on the bench until (or if) they come together as a unit.
And I say this as a Browns fan. While I'd love to see him knocking guys over on the way to the end zone, I've got the feeling the Browns will have to call ahead for a reservation is they want to accomplish much in the red zone.
Is this a PPR? If so then CJ isn't going to be a bad idea to start considering his receiving stats from last week.
I don't like Donald Brown. I'm a Colts fan and I want him cut from the team. I would start CJ over Brown personally.

How about which 2 of these WR's to start ? Dwayne Bowe Miles Austin Brandon Lloyd

Coin flip on any two of those three. I like Bowe and Austin, but wouldn't try to convince you not to replace either with Lloyd. All three have the potential for a large week or to be at best the teams third option for the week. Still, nice problem to have.

I agree. I had thought Austin was going to start slowly this year, but he looked pretty good in Week 1. Put the names in a hat!
I say Bowe and Austin since Arizona has the best secondary of the 3 opponents.

Rather than create new threads every week I figure I'll use this one. I'm getting frustrated with my lack of decision making skills in this one league and i'm up against my boss this week. Want to win.
I get to start 2: michael bush ray rice kevin smith doug martin
I also get to start 2: Steven Smith Miles Austin Percy Harvin Brandon LaFell Laurent Robinson
If I play the matchups on RB, then I dont start ray rice, but who wouldn't start ray rice?
On the WR, Steve Smith looks pretty good except for his injury. But then again, Austin and Harvin have good match ups this week (at least on overall defense. I don't know enough about idp and who would be covering them).
And well, as long as Smith is drawing double coverage, LaFell looks like a good play, too.
Please help and soon as I just realized some of these guys go tonight.

I got one too!!! who is the odd man out, pick 3 out of 4 (0.5 per reception)...
Adrian vs. SF Doug Martin vs. DAL Alfred Morris vs. CIN Andre Brown vs CAR
I suppose its Morris vs. Brown but I need to decide tonight.

I vote Ray Rice + Doug Martin, Steve Smith + Miles Austin
Is SF a good matchup for Harvin? I also have a Harvin vs. Austin debate and couldn't decide if Harvin would be good in that spot. I assume they will be trailing and throwing a lot, but that SF defense is tough.
Your RBs seem to be a game time decision. If Forte is out then I think Rice and Bush are slam dunks. If Forte plays then I think Rice and Martin might be your best options. I also think if Forte plays Bush will still see 10-15 carries and quite a bit of goal line looks. You could see a repeat of his week 1.
WRs... I think Harvin and Austin will have a decent game but I feel like Smith could either go off or throw up a 0. I'd say Harvin and Austin personally if you want to play if safe. Risky, I'd say Smith and Harvin.

Steve Smith is expected to play... and we have seen what passing games are doing to the Giants secondary, I see big numbers for Smith, Newton and even Lafell tonight.
RE 12-13: Call me crazy, but I'd say Martin and Morris. I don't think AP gets 50 yards against that SF defense.
Speaking of the SF defense, they have given up 33-372-1 to WRs this season. Granted that was Green Bay and Detroit who have a lot better QBs than Minnesota, I still think Harvin could do something similar to what he did against the Colts, bubble screens and YAC.
Brandon Marshall vs STL Marques Colston vs KC Randall Cobb vs SEA Eric Decker vs HOU Laurent Robinson vs IND
Colston's foot worries me a little. Cobb is so streaky he also scares me. I'm almost thinking Marshall-Decker-Robinson...

I think you are right on Harvin, he'll be involved. And like I said, they should be playing from behind which is a good thing for a passing game...
I run the wife's team with default standard scoring and have this mess to decide. 2 WR + 1 Flex. Nicks (OUT) Wes Welker Antonio Brown Percy Harvin Doug Martin

GO, dallas has been somewhat soft on the run. I think I'd go with Doug Martin and then probably Morris.
RE 19: Wow. I don't know if I'd call that a mess. That's a good problem to have imho. I think Welker-Brown-Martin, but I also think Harvin gives a good option. Pull names out of a hat. Also who's the QB/RB Combo you have going on there? Seems like a decent team.
RE 20: Thanks.

Only an 8 team league, thats why. Which frankly I find more difficult cause everyone is loaded and its difficult to differentiate yourself with good management skills. There is a guy with the most points scored in the league who has started Ryan Mathews all year! and I'm all over it and am 0-2.
Just for fun (because I am terrible at this) I am going to guess that Sproles and BGE score the highest this week. That means you should probably start Morris and Forte, btw.
Need to decide who to start at Flex Hartline @ Cincy Jerome Simpson @ Titans Donald Brown @ GB Chris Johnson @ Vikings
No one has been able to run on the vikings this year and Donald Brown has done jack squat this year plus I imagine the game will either be a shootout or Indy falls behind and needs to pass. Do I really start Hartline or Simpson over CJ ?

I'd go with Hartline. Cincy's pass defense isn't great, and I feel Miami will be playing from behind as their defense isn't good either. I could see that being an old fashioned shoot-out and the Vikes-Titans game being a 12-9 "thriller" with plenty of kicking but no other scoring.

Was I just not paying attention that Manningham was going to sit out the game? I know he was limited in practice this week--a little more of a heads-up would have been nice, SF.

to drop Big Ben or not... had Rivers at backup. Added Carson Palmer and tying up 3 slots for QB's right now. Anyone with a crystal ball on Reothlisdinger?

Ben's got a pretty nice week 14-17 schedule IMO (SD, @ DAL, CIN, CLE). I'd keep him even if he's out 3-4 weeks.

@DAL is an awful matchup. The rest are soso...Browns defense isn't bad. It's just that they're on the field so much because their offense is putrid.
Bens injury is major...to the point his rib is out of place and needs some time to heal
I'd roll with Carson...and even start him over everyone else this week. I think Rivers needs to adjust to his diminished velocity still before trusting him as a starter (as discussed in g24)
The Saints stink outdoors...they are allowing 470 ypg, which is amazing considering that's including their win over Philly. If you have a raider...start them. lol.
been a while since we had this thread up, but I have a dilemma in week 1 of the playoffs. I can start 2 WR, my choices are:
Santana Moss vs Bal (ranked 11th vs WR in this league) Pierre Garcon vs Bal Steve Smith vs Atl (ranked 3rd against WR) Miles Austin @ Cin (ranked 4th against WR) Golden Tate vs Ari (ranked 14th) Chris Givens @ Buf (ranked 19th)
Obviously its a risk to start Moss over Garcon now that garcon is back. Smith has been horrendous this year and Austin has a really tough match up. Currently I have Tate and Givens in.
I had been using Austin and Percy Harvin most of the season but injuries have changed that. Just dropped harvin as he's now on the IR.

Well I flipflopped a lot and had it set to givens and garcon about noon I changed to Tate/Givens. At 12:50 I went to switch garcon back in for tate but rosters were locked. So I'm going with Givens/Tate. we'll see.

Ouch Givens/Tate were the bottom two. Best bet looks to be Garcon/Smith. Austin had a near reception in the endzone.

I really wish I had gotten back in time to flip garcon back in. He scored 11 more points in this league than Tate. I have a 9 point lead, am done and my opponent still has Owen Daniels going tonight. That extra 11 point buffer sure would feel good right now.
I was avoiding Austin because of his hip. Smith I was avoiding because...well he just hasn't produced almost all season long. The other 3 were pretty much a toss up.

Ok, I hate to do this 2 weeks in a row. Though this is mostly to just talk it out in my own mind but hep is always appreciated. I can start 2 of:
ray rice doug martin david wilson deangelo williams
Williams really isnt a consideration in this line up. Martin is 100% positive. Ray Rice Id jsut go with but he's up against one of the toughest run defenses and Wilson is up against a rather soft run D. A knock against wilson, all special team points get counted towards the Defense. He won't get any individual stats for yardage or TD's from special teams action.
I'm just worried that Flacco will be passing a bit more today and Rice will have a more limited work load.
Help me Obi Wan. You're my only hope!
I do have faith in my opponent to fall flat on his face. Average weekly scores in this league is about 60-80 with a season high of 110 and a season low of 27. My opponent was the first seed going into the playoffs but he had the least points scored against him by 63 points. I was the lowest seed but had the most points scored by 5 points the most points scored against by 28 points.

doing more digging for myself I found Rice has been limited in practice due to a hip injury, though he's expected to play. Balt also has a new O coordinator who is expected to rely more on Rice than the old one. I'm really over thinking this and driving myself crazy. Somebody needs to smack me.

You're reading into matchups too much. You can't bench Rice. Plus, Wilson will supposedly not play on passing downs.

After the weeks wilson has had, I don't see how you don't start him, even against SFO.
