I am a fan of Alex Smith, but I think the Chiefs way overpaid to get him. the 34th pick in the draft really.
I believe he would have been cut by the 49ers. Rumors had him to the browns or Cards. Not many suitors just like last year when he was a FA. I thought he was going to be more of a 3rd or 4th rd pick. |

Seems to me that if you're going to use a high pick on a vet QB then you should have the rest of your team ready to compete for a championship. I'm guessing that most of the Chiefs fan base is happy with this move though. Surprised the Cardinals didn't end up with him.
