i am pretty surprised at the hatred of MFL. i wonder if it's because there's too many options for some folks.
one of my leagues has been running mfl for years, and it is my favorite format. i think the key is a strong set up, and an understanding of where the different options are...

We wanted to confirm the picks are 2015 draft picks. Josh (Denver) also controls Seattle 1st round pick. The lower of the Denver or Seattle pick will become property of Cleveland 1st round 2015. Cleveland's 2015 11th round pick is all Denver.

The way I've always seen trade deadlines in NFL leagues is once those guys in the early games start they are now on waivers... and therefore locked for the week... I've always had to move those guys before their respective start times or else its kind of a way to circumvent the trade deadline. You can't trade any other players after their Week 12 game starts, so why should OAK or KC players be an exception?

Once those players games start, they are locked for the week. MFL is the only site I know of that would even allow them to be traded. What's worse is that is was giving Pete JC's points for this week. You can't pick them up or drop them this week now, but apparently you can trade them. Weird.

That's another reason I'm not a big fan of Thursday night games.
I've been caught up in this situation before and it really sucks in leagues where the trade does not officially go through for 24 hrs after it's been agreed upon.

while it's a shame that trade fell through, the reason for it not being allowed is a valid one.
that being said, i dont know why anyone would give up on trading in this league.
i remember someone telling me trades are rare in this league. i've been involved in three since i joined the league less than 6 months ago.

I've made some trades this year. It's ALOT easier when you are playing for next year.
The trade deadline should probably be the Wednesday before week 12, so that this can be avoided in the future. I also think there needs to be a flashing sign or something that tells us what the trade deadline is, because I had NO idea that it was last week.

Agree... always good to send around a reminder or something in advance of trade deadline, esp. since many of us are in multiple leagues.
Tree... the reason a lot of people hate MFL is that the UI is so non-intuitive. Things are buried in mazes of menus and frequently not under a header that you'd expect. There's a lot you can do on the site, sure... but it's not intuitive... and similarly you can tweak and customize things, great... but I don't want to have to do that work, I want things just easy to use without me having to think so much to figure out how I want to do (like the other various main FF sites).

Here are the end of year seedings which will be used for the post season games as well as base draft order (in reverse obviously).
Top 8 teams are solely determined based on playoff outcome. Winner will end up first and draft last.
East

3 Cowboys at 2 Giants

Matchups have been put in schedule. For Consolation Bowls, the games will be schedule in future weeks as determine by the original seedings. ie if all the top 4 teams win, 9 would play 12 and 10 would play 11. Just regular seedings. If 16 beats 9, 16 would play 12.

OK, was told the week 14 schedule won't work due to playoff input.
Anyhow, I put the seeded teams in the playoff bracket and manipulated the super bowl for our individual conference tournament. That means the other bowls will keep going for placements as well. So you get two losses apparently. Playoff teams play all 3 weeks regardless.

Nothing changes but there are only 8 teams who can use it. Remember, anyone you pickup or drop are lost and can not be kept.

Yeah, I really sweated out the last few minutes of that game last night.
Who'd a thunk Peyton Manning would only score 3.72 points.
Also I had 3 players who did not record any points.
Maybe a reason to change ww claims to Thursday during the playoffs. A Thursday stat change could give Balt a victory thereby granting B7 waver privileges and revoking mine. Just a thought.

OK, I have added the consolation games for 5-8th place. Instead of schedules, go to playoffs. If there is a mistake, please let me know asap.
Stats will be finalized on Thursday. If there is a change in that game, let me know asap. WW won't matter as all 8 teams are eligible to pick up players off WW.

I thought that only the 4 teams remaining in the championship bracket were allowed to make roster changes this week. Perhaps I am wrong. The league bylaws do not appear to be available on MFL and I don't know where to find them.
There is a "ADDITIONAL LEAGUE RULES SETUP" Section in Reports/Rules/League Bylaws that could be used to post the league Bylaws. The RIFC league I am in uses it for this purpose.

I believe we recently voted on that. I always lock eliminated squads from moves in my other leagues.
As a point of reference this league used to allow NO add/drops for anybody during the playoffs. Think about that.
I championed the cause of compromise - being able to at least have the playoff teams make moves, and anyone added or dropped couldn't be kept. It blew my mind that i got to the playoffs and say my kicker broke a leg... that I was seriously just stuck with that.

No one outside the top 8 should be allowed to make moves. Because everyone in top 8 is still jockeying for position in prize pool, they are allowed to make moves.

Judy - was not awake last night. had to work today and seeing a game from 2:30am to 6am would have been tough. I did not even record it to watch it now that I am home. problem is that it is tough to count tackles and assists on live/taped television. this is easier for players on offense, but with 2 IDP's to go it was not worth it to not know all day if you made it or not.
TD - it was a fight down the wire. I thought that I was out of it until Russell Wilson did his thing on SNF. after that game I was positive going into MNF. It seems that I claimed the win with an assist of TJ Ward late in the 3rd quarter.
