Looking for some second opinions, as there has been sentiment to veto, which frankly I don't think I've ever done. But this worth a vote at least.
10 Team Half PPR 2 QB league Full re-draft, no keepers
Last place team writes... I don't think I've ever had such a bad team, but I guess it happens. I'm pretty much conceding the just about inevitable, there are a few pieces on my team that have some value. If anyone is willing to trade for them (make a reasonable offer. I'm not going to give them completely away and we have to keep this legit since we are playing for $$) to bolster your bench and get ready for the playoffs, let me know.
And if you happen to win, nice “thank you” is enough.
Later that day this team trades away Tyler Lockett for Carson Wentz
Granted, they do have WR depth and need a 2nd QB better than Kyle Allen.
But thoughts if you were commish?

2nd trade also accepted... Last pace team trades Matt Ryan for Jerry Juedy
So that put a hole in my filling QB theory, but its a balanced offer and nobody has complained about.

i struggle in non keeper leagues for this exact reason. there's not much incentive for a crappy team to trade good players other than being bored and simply wanting to be involved.
this looks to be the case here.

Imagine playing poker and a guy turns to an opponent and says: welp I got Nothing. You want these?
I’m sure Vegas would allow that.
First trade - looks like he’s making a run Second - undoes the logic of the first trade
Unless there’s a third move there’s no plan here.
Trades by themselves are fine but commish should look for good cause to freeze team since they’ve verbally conceded or if they fall out of any contention for money after week 9.

Thanks guy. I think R$ Vegas thought really is an interesting demonstration too.
In a vacuum its probably fine. But you have to really consider motivation and the impact of it. Like that person not hitting when they should in Blackjack impacting the rest of the table.

A person hitting or not hitting in blackjack has zero effect on the game. They are just as likely to draw your bust card and leave your perfect card as they are to draw your perfect card and leave you with a bust card. Too many BJ players have way too much superstition on the subject.
Generally on trades I do not like players out of contention making trades with teams in contention, even if it benefits the last place team or it is a balanced trade.

First, Send the last place guy a private message, and tell him to quit that $hit.
Does your league veto by voting? If so, are you just asking how you should vote?
If you are the commish, and the league votes on trade vetoes, then let your members decide, EVEN if they are asleep at the wheel. If they bitch afterward, then point them to THEIR responsibility.
If you are the commish and there is no voting, change your rules.
Don't know your stakes, but its just a game man. Quit working so hard.

I approve the trades because we don't generally have any reason to reject and I like to move them through within 24 hours. I operate by a "only collusion" veto strategy. You want to make dumb deals? that's only hurting you.
But I always leave it open to league majority. So once a couple people questioned it, we did a league vote and it was rejected 6-2 by the 8 teams not involved. So some pretty straighforward democracy.
Also this league has a last place penalty. The guy in last who is officially eliminated now and was doing this firesale pretty much said he wouldn't be back and wouldn't be paying the penalty before we even got the vote done. So at this point, it didn't even matter. I'm not bending over backwards to help him sell his side of the deal. The other ones were approved as they were in the ballpark of fair at least.

So what kind of tatoo does last place have to get?

This one is a 60 entry, so its an extra 20 to the prize pool. It used to be 1st round of drinks at the next draft back when this league was live and we didn't all move away :)
