RIFC Managers - You are each invited (although not required) to post your general reflections on the completed draft. Comments may be as detailed or as general as you wish. As a catalyst, free free to comment on any of the following:

1. What was your plan/strategy entering the draft? Were you able to execute as you had planned?

2. What were your favorite picks? Which do you wish you could do over?

3. Looking over all of the teams, which ones do you like the most (other than your own)?

4. What surprised you most about the draft?

5. If you could start over, would you do anything differently?

Non-managers are also welcome to post general comments on the draft, and to raise questions.

1. Generally like to get 2RBs, 2WR/TE, and a QB in the first 5-6 rounds and then go with the flow. Things went relatively as planned.
2. My favorite picks were a couple of rookies with great names: Jamin Davis LB and Kwity Paye DE. However, I do need them to come through and not be just an interesting name in the lineup..
3. Other teams that look interesting are Youngroman, Gurudan, ttcowboy and Guru.
4. I was surprised how early DEF players came off the board.
5. I would have started taking DEF players earlier than I did.

1. In previous years, I've done a lot of research on PR/KR players, as well as players set to play out of position significantly. In recent times, this has proven to be more of a distraction. Thus for this season, I only gave a little thought to certain players holding "slightly" more value for their return duties. Also, being a long time veteran of this format, I knew making a mistake early, or not having a feel for the flow of the draft would be painful for roster construction. The main plan early, was to have at least 2RBs that I feel I can trust, and then try to fill out QB/TE/WR as quickly as possible before drafting IDPs, but get them before most backups.

Mahomes early felt like it was breaking a rule, even though it wasn't necessarily, and Andrews early-ish afterwards, also felt a little aggressive, but I felt for where they were available, I was happy to pay the price. IDPs came right around where I wanted them, and I didn't feel like I was overpaying for talent, so that was a win.

2. I think Andrews and Jeudy are two I'm pretty excited about. There's a lot of players I look forward to watching though.

3. I wasn't happy to have Guru drafting close to me again... his team always turns out well, and he snipes on half the turns. Philly Busters has a lot of names that I was pretty high on, especially early in the draft.

4. Not much, it all went pretty smoothly.

5. Not yet, ask me again Mid-season.

1. I wanted to draft a top-3 TE, a top-2 LB, and a top-2 DB. In general, I want to always be a little early on IDPs because I feel like the top ones are still undervalued. I wanted to avoid taking low-upside players that I feel "meh" about as much as possible.

I missed out on TE, but got the IDPs. No "meh" picks in the first half of the draft. I would have liked to have one of my top QB targets, but I'm loaded at WR instead, and I'll take that as a tradeoff.

2. Favorite picks:
- #8 Michael Thomas + #12 Marquez Callaway
- #11 Brian Burns
- #20 Tyrell Williams

Wish I could do over:
-Draft order #11 (I would choose something that positioned me better to get a top-3 TE)

3. -IAC has both McCaffrey and Mahomes: not hard to see that leading to success
-Guru's team is loaded with high-upside players
-Philly Busters have strong depth
-twilson has a lot of elite players. He also has a RB pairing of Damiens, a WR pairing of Davante/DeVante, and a DE pairing of Bosas.

4. The beginning of the draft wasn't quite as RB-heavy as I was expecting it to be. I was also surprised by how few of the exciting skill-position rookies were drafted on the early side of their ADP.

5. I'm generally happy with my team outside of TE. Hopefully one of the four that I drafted will work out (and with large starting rosters, one position shouldn't break my team), but I would have chosen an earlier draft position to make sure I could either get Kelce in the 1st or justify taking Waller in the 2nd.

1. I like to draft in the 10-12 slot, if possible, and the best I could get was #9 so I grabbed it. The plan was to go RB/RB/WR/WR with maybe a top tier TE if available in round 3 or 4. I was pumped when Aaron Jones was still available at #9 and practically wet myself when Austin Ekeler was still there in round 2. With Allen Robinson as my WR1, I'm hoping Justin Fields gets in the lineup ASAP. After that it was looking for offensive players with upside potential. Got a few of those and hope a couple pan out. On the IDP side, love my DL and think the rest are just OK. Oh, and of course was able to stick by my strong prejudice against picking Cowboys players. Just can't root for any of them, ever. Not quite a rule, but close. All in all, it went as planned.

2. Favorite picks were Ekeler at 2.09, Henderson at 5.09, Donald at 7.09 and I have high hopes for big years from Laviska at 8.06 and Isaiah Simmons at 11.09. And Jonnu Smith could be a stud. Or maybe not. We'll see. Do overs? Maybe taking Julio over DJ Moore at 4.06. Also might regret taking Michael Carter in round 12 if he doesn't take the lead in the Jets backfield. Could have had Hines or Drake who at least have well defined passing game roles.

3. Teams I like? Jaydog looks tough as always. Also like Gurudan, Guru and youngroman. But everyone has potential with the right breaks and usage of their draftees.

4. I was a little surprised at how early the QBs came off the board. Forced me to adjust and grab Brady in round 6 which was about 3 rounds earlier than I was planning to get a QB.

5. Probably wouldn't change much other than the do overs mentioned in #2. Feel pretty good about the start and have confidence in my ability to pick up productive FAs as needed.
