Post comments here. Offer players to trade. Ask for a player you want to trade for.

can we get a clarification on the IR rule?
i might have misunderstood, but i thought a player on IR must be kept for the following season. did that not pass?

No, the proposal requiring that a player on IR be kept failed. (Rule Changes thread, post 67). The proposal for simple IR passed.

Just as a refresher of the two proposals dealing with in-season play that have passed:
Rule Change Proposal Three (P3) [IR-Regular]
An IR slot will be added. Only players on NFL's IR are eligible.
A player on IR may not be picked up during the season (on waivers, as a free agent, etc.) and placed in the IR slot.
An owner must remove a player activated from the NFL's IR by the second game after the player's real-life activation.
and
Rule Change Proposal 4 (P4) [No Suspended players]
A player suspended by the NFL may not be a starter in your lineup. ------------------------------------------=---

I am going to be looking to move either Allen Robinson or Kenneth Dixon (both on IR).
whether that's sooner, or later, remains to be seen, but either could be a strong building block for a rebuilding team.
feel free to email me.

I have extra receivers and TE Ed Dickson for the TE hungry.
Open to most ideas, although most likely, my young guys stay on my roster. Everyone else is available for picks or players.

Jacoby Brissett is on the market, along with A-Rob and Dixon.
i'm looking for a solid WR, and not opposed to multi-player deals.

lost by less than a point in one of my games.
had i played Brissett instead of newly acquired Big Ben, i'd have won.
had i played New England instead of newly acquired Houston, i'd have won.
Had i played any of my active WR/RB over Zay Jones, i'd have won.

I just wanted to put JJ Watt in IR and the system says I need to have a valid roster to complete the move. WTF? I will have a valid roster after I put Watt in IR and pick up a DL a minute later. had anyone of you this problem before? What if I don't want to lose any of my players and simply replace my single DL?

Sounds odd to me... I put a player on IR (TE) early this season and didn't have anyone else at the same position... so yeah technically I had an invalid roster until I picked up a new TE later that day. I certainly don't recall getting that message... and there's no way to bundle an IR move as part of an add/waiver claim that I can see (oh how I love MFL). So pretty sure I did same thing you're doing (only, it worked).
Best guess is there's something else unrelated that's causing your roster to be invalid.

Here is the ruling:
Owners cannot perform IR (or taxi squad) moves because of roster position limits - how can I fix this?
Answer: This occurs when you have Roster Position Limits too strictly defined. The system enforces roster position limits at all times, so, for example, if you require two QBs on your roster, and you currently have two, and you try to deactivate one of those QBs to IR, the system will prevent you from doing that because it is enforcing your roster position limits.
To correct this problem, you will need to either reduce or remove your Roster Position Minimum values on the For Commissioner > Setup > Roster Position Limits Setup in order to allow players to be deactivated to injured reserve (or demoted to taxi squad).

The correction is not possible as I would need to reset minimums for each position and that would change the roster requirements.
I will research if there is a difference between setting roster limits and the set lineup limits. Roster limits might be able to be 0 (zero) to some max, while still maintaining the lineup requirements.
On vacation, but will check it out this week...

I've now had my 5th season with no backup QB for my bye. (I tried, got Fitz but Winston wasn't as hurt as he seemed to be.) I'm 4-6 averaging 95 pts per game on these weeks. Not terrible!
It's interesting how many backup QB's are being held. I couldn't even name Rodgers' backup before last week, and yet he was presumably drafted.

I actually had considered dropping him the week prior to cover a bye, but decided the upside was worth retaining.
If anyone's interested in Hundley, he's available for a player upgrade or pick next year.

Stupid 2nd US circuit court of appeal. I played teams with Zeke in 2 leagues this week. They cost me a game I should have won against the Chiefs.
However -- neat scheduling -- I play against teams with Wentz in 3 Rotogurupie-heavy leagues this week -- this one, R14, and RIFC AAA. Let's see if the stupid 2nd US circuit court of appeal can find a way to get him into the lineup.

But Toral, I beat you by 18.65 and Zeke only scored 15.3. Also, I’d have started Mack in his absence and gotten 2.9 from him. Dak also didn’t have any passes to Zeke. Unless you mean you think Dak’s numbers would have been worse without Zeke drawing coverage?? Not certain but fair thought.

WG23 -- if Zeke is out, I start Alfred Morris instead of Jonathan Stewart. Morris scored more points in one touch than Stewart did all day. I saw that run and he was running hard. I start Morris, you don't have Zeke, I win.
Slizz24 -- Did you contact Commissioner Judy and ask her to correct it? MFL is perpetually screwed up, we all know that. This is their first year with their new waiver/free agent system and only God knows how many bugs there are in it. In RIFC AAA, the first waivers didn't work at all.
If any of us has enterprise, we might take screenshots of our waiver claims, if the commissioner wants proof.

GROAN. I jinxed myself. I shouldn't have talked about not having to face Wentz this week. All 3 of his backups performed better than my starting quarterback. And I cost myself a game (I think) by not starting Goodwin and Robert Woods.
No more complaining about bad luck like Zeke getting his stay on a Friday. It only brings more bad things.

I kept Michael Vick during his suspension. Gurupie Twarpy described this decision as "retarded". (I then did not keep him before his breakout after-return season.) Does that count? Or were you asking about this year only?

I almost kept Brock Osweiler over Derek Carr a couple years back.
That would have won, hands down.

I had been noticing FF scoring down across the board this year in both G24 and RIFC, and it's true - offensive scoring is way down this year compared to last year.
Passing yards down by 7200. Rushing yards are slightly up, but total offensive touchdowns are down by 80. roughly evenly split between passing and rushing TD's.
This of course has led to offensive points being down across the board. IDP points are about the same, slightly up but could account for normal variance. In an RIFC league all of this adds up to scoring being down about 5 points per team, per game.
The bigger question is why? Offense has generally been going up every year, or at least staying steady. There have been a few notable injuries among top QB's this year and that might have something to do with it, but it doesn't seem like one or two of those would affect the numbers this much.

Is it possible to allow me to pick up a kicker, since mine was cut by his nfl team?
Im in the wanna be bracket, so I feel like I'm still competing.
I only want Dustin Hopkins, the kicker who replaced mine on his NFL team.

It figures I would have my best week of the season the week AFTER I'd been eliminated from contention. Four trips to the playoffs in 8 seasons, and no playoff wins kinda sucks. One and done every time. But I can vie for 5th place? Yay?
