Hi folks,
we do need a new manager for 2025. If you are interested, please shoot me an email.
It’s an RG league with 24 players. It’s a keeper league— you get to keep a maximum of six but one must be an IDP if you choose to keep six.
Keepers are slotted into the draft depending on where they were drafted moving up a little bit each year until eventually sometimes you end up with five players at the number one, which means you don’t draft until round 6! Rarely does anyone do this so that means there are a lot of good players available if you’re willing to sacrifice your early pics.
As a result there is a lot of roster turnoverover as people try to figure out how to keep/get good players and beat the draft.
It’s a fun league and we could use a new manager who does have some experience. We use the MFL website.

Back in 2019-2020, there was extensive discussion regarding the legality of trading away picks that would otherwise be used to secure a keeper. You can read through those threads for more details.
For example, if I own pick 1.01 and I want to keep a player that commands a first round pick, can I trade pick 1.01 for a later pick in round 1 and still keep that player?
In post 41 of the 2020 league thread, I proposed the following rule:
When a team forfeits a pick in a given round to keep a player, that forfeited pick must be the team’s regular slotted pick for that round. If a team has traded away that slotted pick, then the next available earlier pick must be forfeited. (A regular slotted pick is defined as the pick that a team would own if no picks had been traded.)
I don't see any evidence that a vote was ever held for that rule, and the rule does not explicitly appear in our league rules.
Did we ever pass a related rule? Do we have an unwritten understanding about this type of pick swap?

Don’t forget to also list your draft slot!
Also list your team name.
When you post your keeps and any other players you might offer in a trade please use this format:
Position, player name, player NFL team, 2025 draft slot
The only list that is final will be the last one you post on the forum. (So you can change it as circumstances change such as trades, injuries, etc.)
Remember if you keep six /6/VI keepers, one must be an IDP. If you keep less that does not apply.
You Also must post your keepers on the MFL site.

So 1.09, 4.09, etc.
Last year (2024 draft), it was 1.01, 4.01, etc., when that team had the first pick in each round.

If I understand correctly, I also lose my 2.09 and 24.09 with these keepers. As an aside, the list of keeper eligible players also showed Jalen McMillan as an eligible keeper, though he was picked up by IAC during the playoffs (12 DEC). Is there an exception rule for 2024 Rookies or something, or was it just an oversight? I had considered keeping him, but for now this is my list.
