16,14 Jericho Cotchery, WR, NYJ-Cotchery was Mark Sanchez’s favorite receiver last year. If Sanchez does not regress as has been common among sophomore QBs, Cotchery should have a good season. However after seeing Sanchez’s last preseason game, this pick was probably a mistake.

17.01 Fred Taylor, RB, NE-I only had 3 RBs at this time, and Taylor could start for NE if Maroney does not perform well.

18.14 Brandon Jackson, RB, GB-At this point in the draft I was trying to find reserves that might start if the number one RB faltered. Jackson seemed as good as anyone else to fill this role.

19.01 Garrett Hartley, K, NO-This is a little early to pick a PK, but there was no one else that I really liked left in the player pool. I was thinking about Kaeding, Longwell or Harltley, all PKs on explosive offenses in either domes or warm weather. I decided to go with Hartley,

20.14 Javon Ringer, RB, Tenn-Handcuff for Chris Johnson

16.06 Kareen Huggins RB TB

I desperately needed another RB and this dude is emerging as the back up to Caddy, whom we all know has a history of injury. He fills the role of a “change of pace back” and one source suggested that he might even beat out Caddy eventually. Time will tell -- apparently he does work hard in practices :)

17.09 Michael Hoomanawanui TE STL

Love this pick. Saw the clip on ESPN after his super night game. Now that Avery is done for the season and Toral, the early riser (5 am and earlier -- check it out), snatched Laurent Robinson, the new WR1 for STL out from underneath me at 16.02 no less, I figured why not go for this rookie. Besides I like to visit Hawaii (??huh??). The kid is big and strong and down near the goal line, who better for a rookie QB to look for under pressure than another rookie? I may play both Finley (more of a slot guy) and Hoo-man together. He is looking like the STL TE1. This could be a “sleeper” pick -- or a bust.

18.06 Rashad Jennings RB JAX

Time to grab another RB. I see that folks are grabbing tons of RB’s so I figured I had better get on board. There was a (denied) report that MJD tweaked his ankle, so maybe this handcuff (even though I do not HAVE MJD) will work out? Now i have 4 RB’s and that will be it. I hope it is enough. I at least have my bye weeks covered and now need to hope that the bye guys get some action…

19.09 Quintin Mikell S PHL

Time for another IDP. My team is turning into Eagles lite. With Bradley out, Mikell was the leading tackler last season. But he’s a little guy and gets burned by the long legged WR’s out there. This might turn out to be a not so good pick, but it should not be awful. Looking at the subsequent picks, there were better LB out there for me to grab instead… Oh, well.

20.06 David Akers PK PHL

I was really hoping that TD who had two picks between my 19 and 20 did not grab Akers. TD went for a good LB (D WIlliams) instead. Akers ended up being the 5th PK taken, starting with Hartley by Titans at 19.01. I was worried that that pick might start an early PK run, but it really did not. Phew.

The Eagles continue to show the ability to move the ball to the 20 yard line, but are not able to punch or pass it to the end zone. This makes Akers particularly valuable for his FG’s. Now, if they start to score TD’s, at 1 point per PAT, he will be less so. But, I am not worried about that as I am sure the Eagles offense will stall out plenty of times this season. Ten points per game from him would make me very happy :)

16.11 Javier Arenas, CB, KC

Really happy this guy was still here. I kept waiting, but was afraid someone would hear about him and snatch him, so I took the leap.

This guy is one heck of a return man. I mean really good. But I probably wouldn't have nabbed him had he not also play on D. He will be in on all nickel situations, so I'm hoping that when combined he can give me some consistent points and if he breaks a couple returns for TDs, icing. I'm cautiously optimistic about him and I know I can dump him if he doesn't score enough. Thing is, when he's in the game is the time when INTs are more likely to occur too...we shall see.

17.04 Brian Dawkins, DB, DEN

Again, shocked this guy is still there. He fits my team. Another DB is needed and this guy has shown what he can do. Now with Denver, I'm confident he's going to get some consistent points I can live with if not be really happy with.

18.11 Brandon Tate, WR, NE

I've been looking at this guy for awhile, but he's another week 8 bye. I need another one of those like I need another hole in my head. Still, this was a value pick and sort of a gamble. Low risk-high reward pick. This guy is a heck of a return man and therein lies the value when combined with his starting in the slot. He will get a few looks from Brady, but I don't really have room for him unless he turns into something special. IF Moss gets hurt, he could have a lot of value. I do have a lot of WRs, so I could have some nice trade value. Not counting on that though.

19.04 Ryan Longwell, K, MIN

I know this is earlier than I usually take Ks, but I got some good players and good value while others were jumping on the runs, so now I have a chance to pick my last starter and perhaps the best K in the game. He is very accurate and kicks a majority of his games in a dome. Favre and the O should continue to get him a lot of opps. If the league follows the runs as they have thus far, then I'd end up with much lesser K by the time it gets back to me and based on needs, TE Dustin Keller should be able to get back to me.

20.11 Chris Chambers, WR, KC

OK, this didn't go as planned. I saw what was happening and thought for sure Keller would get back to me. But not everyone was filling needs or followed the big K run. By the time I got to a computer to make this pick, I just wanted to pick someone. Chambers bye week isn't in week 8 and that was the biggest factor in me picking him up. He will play oppo Bowe and he has shown some nice production, so we shall see. Might be a wasted pick.

16.02 Laurent Robinson, WR, StL

I couldn’t set a queue for this pick until I’d seen my last pick because they were both to be IDPs and I wanted them to have different bye weeks/. I had to go to bed before the first pick was made. When I got up I perused the football news and saw that Donnie Avery was out for the season. Laurent Robinson is someone I wanted from the beginning although I expected to be taking him later. Some people think he was likely to establish himself as the Rams’ #1 receiver even with Avery there. Now the report is that he’ll have first chance at it. There’s danger from people like Mardy Gilvard and [undrafted player] but I like the opportunity of picking up here a #1 receiver on a team whose QB looks like he might be able to put up a lot of yards right out of the box.

If I hadn’t picked Robinson, DB Dashon Gordon would have been the IDP I picked up. Amazingly TD took him on the very next pick, meaning our IDP lists were right in sync again.

17.13 Mohammed Massaquoi, WR, Cle

The plan for the next few rounds is to take a talent position on the way up and an IDP after holt picks, the IDPs being pretty indistinguishable at this point.

Massaquoi is regarded as the clear #1 WR in Cleveland. He’s suitable to be slotted in during week 5, when two of my top receivers are on byes. I can’t shake the nagging doubt whether hius breakout rookie season wasn’t a fluke.

18.02 Stephen Cooper, LB, SD

Top of what’s left. Projected to lead the Chargers in tackles.

19.13 Stephen Gostkowski, K, NE

I don’t usually pick a top kicker but it seems there’s enuf of a selection at WR to allow me to wait on further backups and no RBs I like here. Usually ranked in the top 3. I must have forgot to check the playoff schedule because he has two games away in very cold weather venues.

20.02 Michael Boley, LB, NYG

I looked around a bit to find out if there was some reason why Boley was still available here. Couldn’t find any, although he is ranked at differing places; Pro Football Weekly has him ranked just behind James Harrison and a number of other LBs picked higher. His tackle numbers were down last year because of a knee injury but he’s back to health.

That’s my IDPs completed except for DE with no bye duplication, so I’ll need only one slot for IDP bye weeks and can just pick up a different substitute each successive week.

16.03 Dashon Goldson, DB SF
Goldston is my last regular IDP starter. The only other starter needed is a kicker. My plan is to wait until a few kickers are chosen before picking one. Goldston moved into a starting FS role with SF last season, and was one of the top DBs in this format. I expect him to continue to play at the same high level this season. His contract ends this season and he looking for a long term deal.

17.12 Mike Bell, RB PHI
Bell is my RB3. He is the 2nd RB option for the Eagles. He had battles various minor injuries in training camp. If Bell remains healthy, there is a good chance the Eagles will use him as a goal line back.

18.03 Tony Scheffler, TE DET
I drafted Scheffler as a 2nd TE. Because of a lack of WR depth, I expect the Lions to frequently play Scheffler in the slot like a 3rd WR.

19.12 Golden Tate, WR SEA
I expect Tate to be in the WR mix for Seattle, and to get more playing time towards the end of the season. He made a lot of big plays and played in a pro-style offense at Notre Dame, so I expect a smooth transition to the NFL.

20.03 Tashard Choice, RB DAL
Choice is my RB4. I considered taking Akers with this pick, but thought I could still get a top kicker with my next pick. There weren't that many RBs that I was interested in left on the board and I didn't want to go into the season with less than 4. I think Barber is on the decline, and Jones is often injured, so Choice could get more carries than most people expect.

16.12 Kevin Smith, RB DET

I was looking for a 4th RB here, as I came to the conclusion a couple of years ago that you can never have enough RB's. Smith was the only one of the shrinking group that had a chance to start without an injury to the other. At worst, he should get a decent percentage of the carries for Detroit. But in the end he should hopefully only be needed for week 9 when two of my RB's are on BYE.

17.03 Laron Landry, DB WAS

I've been hearing alot about how Landry is going to be used differently in the Redskins' new system, and I am hoping that means more tackles and more big plays for the young safety. He shows more promise than any of the available LB's at this pick, so I went with him.

18.12 Mike Peterson, LB, ATL
19.03 Bradie James, LB, DAL

The next 'group' of picks are just IDP depth picks. I wanted to go with tackling LB's here that would be fairly consistent from week to week. I queued them up pretty much together and left it. Not really all that exciting.

20.12 Eric Weems, WR ATL

At this point in the draft I was super busy, knew MFL didnt work on iphone so just threw some WR's into the queue and hoped for the best. I think I had Manningham 1 and Chambers 2. Weems probably won't have any catches this year but he's the return guy for the Falcons, which means a fairly consistent 5 points per game. Again, not a very exciting pick.

16.05 Anthony Gonzales WR IND
I was shocked to find him still available here. Wasn't he the #2 RECIEVER FOR THE INDIANAPOLIS COLTS just a couple of years ago? I know he was injured last year and Garcon may be #2 in the depth charts now but this guy has talent and as I said about Collie; anyone in the Indy recieving corps is worth having.

17.10 Eric Coleman S ATL
Really happy to get this guy here. His last 2 year since coming to the Falcons 4-3 defense he's averaged 82 solo tackles and 25 assists and finished in the top 10 at his position. After not getting Woodson he was my next best.

18.05 Marshawn Lynch RB BUF
Definately a flyer here. Nothing is sure in Buffalo and I'm sure Jackson and Spiller will share most of the carries but Lynch DOES have talent. A good player on a bad team will sit on my bench and wait for an injury or a coaching change to maybe get back in the line-up.

19.10 Jeremy Shockey TE NO
Just a little depth here. He'll likely spend most his time on my bench but in a dynamic Saints offense he could end up in my flex position on byes and certain matchups.

20.05 Demarrio Williams LB KC
Need some more depth with my IDPs.Even though I drafted Jamaal Charles; I got a hunch KC's defense is gonna spend a lot of time on the field this year.

16.13 RIFC Bound- Brian Westbrook RB SF
As I mentioned earlier, I should have taken McFadden in the 13th round. But I didn’t and now Westbrook is my backup. I have to hope that my RBs stay healthy, that Brandon Jacobs actually gets some carries, and that Westbrook finds a role in the SF offense. I like the chances of Westbrook getting some reps. Gore is hurt often and if Westbrook is healthy, he’s still a great weapon.

17.02 RIFC Bound- Mark Sanchez QB NYJ
The run on backup QBs was going and I felt Sanchez was a decent option. I think he’ll be improved (although he hasn’t looked it in pre season) . And lets face it, I took Brady with my 2nd round pick, if he gets hurt then its probably just going to ruin my season. So no need to use a high pick on a backup.

18.13 RIFC Bound- Kevin Boss TE NYG
Officially one third of my team plays in NY. I didn’t do this on purpose at all. Very weird. Although Boss doesn’t have a huge upside, I’m confident that he’ll put up the consistent numbers and red zone targets he has the past couple of years. And as a backup, that’s what I’m looking for.

19.02 RIFC Bound- Mathis, Robert DL IND
Mathis may be getting older and he’s often hurt. But I’ve got him as my backup at DL or I can slide him into a flex spot if he has a good matchup. At this point in the draft I felt like he was a steal. We’ll see.

20.13 RIFC Bound- Terrell Thomas DB NYG
To be honest, I wasn’t feeling very good when this pic was made. I basically took a look at my IDP list and picked the first DB that had a good tackle number. That’s a terrible rationale but it’s the truth.

16.09 Matt Cassell, QB, KC
Needed a backup and Cassell should get starter minutes and put up filler numbers
17.06 Roman Harper, S, NO
Again filling an empty slot. Harper has been a consistant performer and should put up decent numbers.
18.09 Kevin Walter, WR, Houston
Basically a handcuff for Jones. Needed some depth at WR and his true value is only if Jones goes down.
19.06 New England, DEF
No real standouts in my mind at this point so I decided to go for a defense that may be able to rotate and give me a few good weeks performance.
20.09 Aaron Curry, LB, Sea
Needed some defensive depth and Curry should put up solid numbers.
