And yes, on the sheet I understand Boikin has the 24th round pick now instead of 22nd, but the biggest use of that sheet for me will be remembering next seasons keepers.

MFL added a new option this year:

If you're in an email draft, but don't want to be overwhelmed with too many emails or text messages, there is a new option on both the For Owners > Franchise Setup > Contact Info page and the For Owners > Franchise Setup > Wireless pages called "When I'm On The Clock For My Draft" which will allow you to only receive emails or text messages when it's your turn to draft, as opposed to when each pick is made.

One small problem with the draft, Aaron Rodgers is a 2nd rd keeper for Guru, yet Rodgers is listed as Guru's 1st selection.

It doesn't matter which round Guru's keepers are in. His first 5 rounds are used for 5 players. Most of the multi round clumps were done by ADP off the top of my head when I put them in just because.

I don't want to sound like sour grapes, but is there any way I can replace my Terrell Thomas keeper with someone else? Torn ACL last night, but the draft hasn't really started yet. If not, he'll just be my first drop.

I was actually thinking about that last night when I read the news. Seeing how this draft just started (and you asked before it started) I do not have a problem with it. I just popped home from work. If you could email me who you would rather keep, as soon as I can get back into the site (probably after work today) I will make the change.

Deadline is a deadline. As trivial as it may be, it's not fair to 13 other people. There's always going to be situations that pop up. Players may be injured immediately after being drafted, doesn't mean you get to re pick.

I personally think it's wisest to not put the rules in question.

Alternately, you can maybe do a "blind-vote" because people may prefer not to vocalize their concerns.

I don't necessarily agree with that, as I think that part of the deadline being Sunday the 21st was tied to having another week of preseason completed...my guy just happened to have the Monday night game. Sure, a guy may get injured immediately after picking him, but I think it's a slightly different circumstance. If the draft had started, i wouldn't be asking about this 9as I stated "since the draft hasn't started yet").

Overall, it doesn't mean that much to me as Thomas is a 24th rounder and only takes my last pick. It's just a pain to skip my 24th pick, wait until waivers clear, drop him, and then pick up someone else. If I can't keep someone else, then I'd just ask you remove him from my team and let me have my 24th round pick back so I don't need to go through the waiver process. If my 24th round pick was opened up, I'd just be the last draft pick since everyone else has their 24th round pick covered.

While I understand there has to be a deadline and when some other player gets hurt this week and I have to tell that manager he won't get to switch keepers, this happened due to a season ending injury before the draft even started. We can make the exception. Legge, tell me who you want to keep or if you just want him dropped.

Thanks, TB. I'll keep Gary Brackett at 24.

If this is truly an issue for others, I'll just wait out until the 24th round and replace Thomas there. No worries either way.

Okay, I made the change and I also went in and did the commish lock-out again now that everything is all set up. It made me unlock it to do something previously, but I'd been meaning to relock it.

Next year I won't make keepers due until after the Monday night games are over. I honestly didn't know how long it would take to load rosters but it is done quickly.

On our draft, do we usually use a clock and if so, how many hours do we use?

Yeah Doug. As I mentioned in the other thread, I have no clue why you didn't keep Jackson + your QB, even without the return yards factored in. I figured at best you could draft one of them back while losing the other. Pretty massive goof :D

Sorry TB... I thought I submitted my pick earlier tonight...

Bonka... well now you have your answer for Jackson. Without the return yards factored in I figured I could possibly get someone better or worst case get him back. Romo if I had it to do over again I'd still drop.

What really gets me is he's one of my favorite players currently in the league and I love having guys on my roster who I actually enjoy watching play... it was a tough call to let him go but seemed the right one... now just... argh.

Guru... yeah, I'm in too many leagues relative to the amount of time I have for FF anymore. Ideally you do your rankings under the scoring system and so on BEFORE keepers, but this year I wasn't able get to it until TB called me today to let me know that I was on the clock.

And the vice grip on Peyton Manning is officially broken. Have to say I'm losing more faith in his value each day. Especially when Indy's bringing in experienced backups now. That could kill the Colts' values.

I might have taken Peyton with my 5th round pick if he was still there. I had no option before that, but if I did have a 4th rounder, I doubt I would pull that trigger.

Peyton was my first pick in this league and the only player remaining on my roster from our original draft. I loved having him as my QB. Every season I didn't have to worry about having a back-up QB. Looking at old data, there are only 3 original first round picks still rostered and 9 total players:

Motley Crue - Maurice Jones-Drew (1st)
Guru - Frank Gore (1st)
IAC: Steven Jackson (1st) and Jason Witten (8th)
Athletics Guy: Andre Johnson (3rd) and Tom Brady (4th)
Bonka (Taxman): Calvin Johnson (3rd)

Reggie Bush gettin' the 4th round love. I had him targeted myself if he made it to me in round 5. He's a talented little dude, but I just don't know if he can last a whole season. My gut says no, but maybe Miami's got a plan to keep him fresh.

It doesn't help that my team going in to last year wasn't that great after taking over, considering I drafted 3rd. Then I overachieved and ended up drafting late this year. My keepers were just decent, not as strong as a lot of other teams, so starting in a hole + some questionable picks due to lack of clear options.

Most teams are pretty equal on keeper value. I had to pull up an old google.doc to see what you were left with. Not as bad as several other teams I think. 2007-2010 keepers

Eventually I will clean a couple of these files up and put them all together into one file.

I was starting to set up a queue, and noticed that some players were not appearing in the list of players available to draft. It turned out they were being listed as "locked" - presumably dropped within the past day - or maybe even awaiting a waiver period. Not sure why.

I solved it by logging in as commish and changing the setting that locks dropped players. We'll need to remember to reset that later on.

My top five players went with the previous 8 picks, so I went with a homer pick. 10 years ago I would have been able to draft this kid in the last round. 2 years ago I would have been able to get him in the last round except in a league with gurupies. Today, my coworkers, who are terrible at all things fantasy sports related, are walking in talking to me about him as a "sleeper" pick. Is sleeper pick even a real term anymore with the amount of info available on the net?

Manning activated off PUP today. I've struggled at QB the past couple of years and I jumped at the opportunity to get a franchise one. If he misses a couple games this year that's fine, as this is a keeper league and can hold him for a while.

I say we let him pick the final 24 picks in the draft so that he can give a play-by-play on every pick! ;)

Need to get the waivers fixed. Always love having to do this. We have the players lock after being dropped like the RIFC? I forget.
