I took a look at some of the rules changes that Judy said the G20 league is considering and tried make them a little clearer.
Defense
- Tackle - increase from 1 point to 2 point
- Assist = increase from .5 points to 1 point
- Pass Defended - increase from 1 point to 2 points
- Sacks - increase from 1 point to 5 points
- Forced Fumble - increase from 2 points to 3 points
- Fumble Recovery - increase from 2 points to 3 points
- Interception - increase from 3 points to 6 points
Offense
- Add 1 point per reception. We currently do not have this scoring category
Kicking
- Extra point - increase from 1 point to 3.3 points
- Field goal - change to .1 point per yard distance. (50 yard field goal = 5 points, 25 yard field goal = 2.5 points)
- Current field goal is <40 yards = 3 points, 40-49 yards = 4 points, >=50 yards = 5 points
- Missed field goal - change to -1 point for all misses. Current Rule is -1 point for misses <30 yards

I am against making any of these rule changes.
I don't think we need to increase the value of defensive players in this league.
I think the kicking rules we have use don't need to be changed.
I don't like PPR because the only thing it does is increase the value of pass catchers who primarily catch short passes.
I am in favor of a new rule of a point for each receiving or running first down.
This is an interesting article I found comparing PPR and Points per first down.

Judy was sharing it because it's another Guru league (with 20 teams in it).
I have no strong feeling on changes but generally agree with the a few of the posters above, I don't want to change things for the sake of change or because some other league did so.
I think the point-per-first-down idea TD shared is interesting and represents a more meaningful accomplishment than a reception... I assume it would apply to both receiving and rushing first downs, but would it also apply to the QB for passing first downs (in addition to the receiver)? I confess I haven't read the article yet, just reacting/asking on the face of it.

Just getting back after a week of vacation. Will send out league dues info shortly.
Meanwhile, of the scoring changes listed above, I think the extra granularity for FG yardage (0.1 per yard) makes sense. Clearly, a 49 yarder is a more notable feat than a 40 yarder.
I find the 1st down (1 pt per) alternative intriguing. It would be a more meaningful recognition for a one yard run up the middle for the FD, or a one yard reception.

Players that you draft can be kept in the round they were drafted. (I drafted Akers in rd 22 last year.)
Players that you kept the year before have their round halved.(You kept Henderson as a rd 14 keeper last year, so he moves up to 7 this year. Next year he would be a 3rd rd keeper. Next year Akers would be an 11th rd keeper.)
You can keep up to 6 players.

At Judy's request, I am going to pre-emptively delay the keeper deadline on the MFL site until later tonight to allow all teams to enter - or to allow a commissioner designee to enter the keepers on their behalf (from the lists above).
However, the official deadline is still 6PM. The delay on the site is for administrative purposes only.

Question - I see that the posted rules still state that you can only keep a player who was on your roster at the end of NFL Week 13. That is a holdover from the time when our regular season ran through week #13, and was never updated last year when our regular season was expanded to week #14 - probably due to oversight.
Should that reference automatically be extended to Week #14 for next season's keepers? Or does this require a rules vote?
or should we simply stay with a week 13 limit.
I don't know how this was applied for the current (2022) season's keepers.

Seeds 1-3 based on W/L:

The #4 seed is the team with the best record of the 4-6 teams: Luxury Tax
The 5-6 teams based on W/L are Vikings and Island Bombers. Of the other teams, the two with the most points are TD and IAC. Those four teams are seeded based on points
So the remaining seeds are
4. Luxury Tax
5. TD Dragons
6. Vikings
7. IAC
8. Island Bombers
Blind Bidding $ have been adjusted, according to the rules. Teams not in the championship bracket lose all remaining BB$, but still may do FCFS free agent add/drops
If Thursday morning’s scoring corrections result in a change to the final regular season standings, then these seedings and BB$ will be correspondingly adjusted. Consequently, the first blind bidding of the week will not occur until Thursday at 3pm ET
Remember that teams must start two RBs each week during the playoffs. (The bye week flex option is over.)

Because most of the NFL schedule is on Saturday this week, I inserted an extra blind bid processing on Saturday morning at 8am. Waiting until Sunday morning made no sense.
