Like Baldwin, I too am anxious to see who keeps whom. Nothing posted here will be official until declaration date, but I thought it might be fun to open the door to talk keepers and draft. This will the first of the Gurupie leagues Ref and I have done that has come around to keepers/draft status.
It would seem to reason to me that much of the initial draft talent pool will come from this year's rookie crop, but still, there are some tough decisions for owners.

Who do you cut?
Ds, Ks, QBs are so rare, do you keep even bad ones?
In looking at my team, off the top I'd say keep
Pennington, Warner, Duce, Mushin, Chris Chambers, Chad Lewis, Dolphins, Cardinals, & Vinetieri.
cut Hearst?, Moe Williams, Rickt Proehl, Michael Westbrook.

A few notes:
You can negotiate trades via e-mail with other owners at this time-- still subject to commish aproval.
Trades can be 2-1, 3-2, etc.. and may include draft picks.
On that note, there were a couple of draft picks traded away last year:
Baltimore gave up his 2003 2nd round draft pick to Jax in the Price/Manning for Garner/Brunell deal.
Oakland gave up his 1st round 2003 pick to Jax in return for the LOWER of Jax's 2 2nd round 2003 picks in the 49ers D for Jags D deal.

Lastly, because of issues with who is/isn't eligible for DL, we will be expanding roster size by 1 player for all and eliminating DL. if alayer gets hut, you can carry or cut him, but there will beno DL policing to make sure "injured" players are not stashed there. So, this means that the draft will be 5 rounds. 4 + 1 round to add a player.

fyi, keeper deadline date is not in stone, but it will NOT be 7/1. That is the date that CP and Dan must respond to our invites to return to come back into the league. We want to have our 24 owners in the mix again before setting deadlines.

I gave my keepers a long long time ago. Do you still have them on record? Not saying I want to change them but if I'm not committed I'll take another look at them. I had no idea we'd have this long till deadline. Freeze them whenever you want to tho.

When we announce a keeper deadline, you can start turning in your official keeper list. Until then, nothing is official.
