I really waited to long to draft a back up and the one I did(Harrington) has not looked to good after a couple preseason games. Once the draft is over, ill open the trade option also. I know a couple people in the league are already talking about doing some trades.
I'm gonna use the voting system thing on the website this year for trades I think, unless anyone objects?

No objection here to voting on trades on the site.
Questions/clarifications on I/R.
1. Please confirm - Only 1 on I/R at any given time.
2. Eligibility for I/R is based on the player's status on the NFL Injury List.
To my knowledge, this won't exist until right before the Week 1 games. Does
this mean we can't place people on I/R until then? We know that Vick
and Bennett are out but they are not on a "list". Players miss
preseason games all the time due to "injuries". Can these guys be I/Red as well?
3. There is no linkage between the I/R player and the pick-up. This means
you can release any player from your roster when the I/R player is healthy again.
Do I have this right? Can everyone chime in on the questions in #2. Don't want
to cause trouble. Hoping to prevent it.

I'd be inclined Philly, to let 'common sense' rule the day. In other words, I'd put that call in the Commish's corner, and let him make a ruling. Then, we ALL live by it.
Using Bennet/Vick as examples, those 2 are clear-cut I/R candidates. They are known to be out for 4+ weeks, with no chance of starting/playing in a game prior to the release of the official injured list. I'm sure there are others, who would be equally obvious candidates, just not taking the time right now to look.
IF Dirk says, "No. Not until the list is published." Then so be it.
