OK. Done for next week.
(Ultimate Football Bashing...please turn your head if you dont want to read it).
I have to say that Football is a total crapshoot, if the best the Gurupies have to offer is 4 guys sub 1000 WWR. Yeah, there is a lot of time to go, but WOW...thats tough. Perhaps football is just not the Gurupian Sport and we need to develope some more tools. Dunno, just seems to be so hit and miss with so few games to correct the situation.

It definitely would require a much different set of tools.. and even that would only help a little bit. It's not like there are typically a lot of Gurupies in the top 1000 after the first 11 days in baseball or hoops, and that's where we're at in football.
Another problem is that only 20 Gurupies are playing! Eep. Lowest turnout ever?

That first 11 days analogy is a little off. Rather this would be more like after the 105th game in baseball (11/17 * 162). At that stage in the game, you do see a lot of gurupies, I think.
Any suggestions on tools that would be FB specific? Some kind of "specific term, favorable matchup" projection is the only thing that comes to mind (if that makes any sense).

No, I mean the number of games in the season is the thing. A 17-game fantasy baseball season would be a 'crapshoot' in the same way football is, IMO.

SPINAL FLUID, read my posts in the thread below. Fantasy football is ALL about MATCHUPS. That TSNP ALLOWED is one of the better stats to be found on these boards for football. If You and GURU could expand that a little bit it might be a nice addition to the SORTIBLES.
