Twarpy won't be in until after like 8 or 9 pm tonight he shared with me. I think he was trying to figure out a Q last night but he didn't give that to me.

I'm actually going to make a pick in person before it's the drafts done and not over the phone. Thanks again Pete.

In case some of you don't see me on the boards posting much in the next few weeks, I had a blood vessel rupture in my left eye last week (didn't think that was what it was at the time). It was a massive bleed and when I went to the surgeon for a 2nd look at it yesterday, the blood had cleared up enough for him to perform laser surgery on my retina to try and seal the bleeding vessel. He hit me with about 120 shots from his laser "gun".

It's not as bad as the detatched retina was in the right eye earlier in the year (yet), but it's bleeding so bad he could only seal off 40% of it because of all the blood still floating around in my eye. I'll know more in a couple of weeks when he fries me again unless I get another major bleed before then and have to make the emergency run in.

I won't be able to sit at the PC very much, but I'll check in as often as I can. Peter N and Baldwin have my phone number.

I'll check in around 9:30 ET and hopefully make my pick then. There are still 6 picks before mine, and I am not sure the direction I plan to take yet. Hopefully things don't get held up too long if it gets to me by then.

Twarpy should be coming any time. However, if he hasn't picked for his last pick by the time it is his turn again, he is automatically skipped this pick too since he's still not here. Again, he can make his picks at any time.

Please, check to see if the player you want is available on the site, then after you pick, add him to your team. I try to even search the draft page as well. Mistakes can happen, but, if we follow this guideline, they should be minimal at best.

Well my draft plan worked out. No matter who was available, I wanted a D and K with my first two picks. I took a K first since there were so many Ds left and the Rams were gone. Now back to the drawing board for my next pick.

I was going to take the Rams but all the negative press they are getting around here made me rethink on my way home from work yesterday. With the 'Skins, well, been there done that! Would have taken the Vikes had they still been there next round though.

Yeah I really only considered the Rams and Vikings. Then I realized I only needed them for week 3. Redskins play Dallas and Cincy plays Baltimore. Remember, defenses can get you huge negative points so considered just going with one D, but after reading about the better tackling and better LBs, I went ahead and took the Bengals against the Baltimore O in week 3.

Here is where everyone stands on the cummulative clocks as of pick 3.05. People that have left a queue are charged no time for that pick. No time is accrued during suspended hours. If I have made a mistake on somebody please let me know. Once your cummulative clock reaches 8 hours, your turn can be skipped unless you have indicated that you have left a queue. You can of course pick any time after that. If you do reach your max cummulative clock then you should probably leave a queue or check in often.

I can't see why they would... a quick skim of the rules said nothing about it. I think they start with a shorthanded roster and then have access to FAs just like the rest of us when FAs become available. That's part of trading away picks... there's no 5.25, 5.26, etc. awarded to teams because they traded away other picks. Please someone correct me if I am wrong!

We've been trying to pick up the slack to add the players to their teams in which their owners forgot, but we can't be on here all the time. Please help your fellow managers by adding the player to your team after you select him. Everything on the transaction report in red has been added by a commish.

AP10, I would like to trade you my 14.16 for your 14.17. The reason is simple. Gives me two picks together, gives you two picks together. Saves us both (or whoever you trade them to later) the trouble of having to wait. If you want to do it just post an acceptance. This is a firm offer, just easier to do it here than on the site. I can easily drop 1 pick without affecting my strategy. thanks.

Or was that pick just not added to Promize's team? Since he was added on the site, I'm assuming that's what happened so I went ahead and picked.

This draft is right on schedule thanks to the 18 picks per day to get us back there after almost missing the first day. If we can get 12 picks today and tomorrow, we should be home free to end a week ahead of the first game. We will keep the 4 hr/pick clock. Thanks again for the great draft this far!

Baldwin, I wasn't here last night and fwd that Q to others in hopes they could be here. Obviously they couldn't either. This Q was left several days ago. Regardless, I wouldn't have been up at 12:46 am so it doesn't matter. Also it was aobut 3 hrs on the clock and not 11.

I got a chuckle out of promize posting that it would be nice if people would pick up their own players...and then he forgets! ;) We all make mistakes and forget things sometimes.

I swear I didn't forget! I could of sword I had him picked... I started looking in my other CBS league to make I didn't pick him up in that league instead, and I hadn't...

Not sure what happen... 3 years from 40, is it finally starting to catch up to me? Am I getting old?

More like just way to much going on right now.. School, job, several drafts, etc..

MBJ, yours is wrong.

Twarpy timed out at noon. You didn't time out, you picked at 14:50, so 2:50 should have been added to your time instead of 4:00. That is my fault. Your time is actually, 4:46. Sorry.

Yea, with the sudden TE run I would have taken him with 4.16 or whatever the next pick I would have had was. Almost let him slide until I realized EVERY D/ST was gone...I was hoping 1 or 2 scrub teams were left.

Sorry about the delay. Just got in. Surprised wo many picks went so fast. In fact, there is no reason to shorten the per pick clock. Comm. clock remains the same. I've got to head back out, but will try to get the comm clocks updated asap with times remaining so we all know how much each person has left to pick in case there is less than 4 hrs. In fact if a manager only has one pick and has used less than 4 hrs., I'm not going to even bother posting his time.

Toral, once the draft is over we will verify lineups and then work on getting waivers turned on. I would envision at least two wavier cycles to be completed in that time, ie initial 2 day waivers run, some players dropped from existing teams, and then 2 days for them to clear waivers. It should be more if everything goes well.

Everyone should look at your teams and make sure that the people they drafted are actually on their team. Some players were added by a commish and there is always the possibility of a mistake.

I pick at 5.15 and 5.17, so I'm around (though distracted by work). If you see it's my turn, feel free to e-mail me to get my attention.

Man I hope Bouman overtakes Brooks as the QB starter in NO! I know Brooks is all the hype, but he has been gimpy and Bouman has been very impressive in the preseason. One report said the QB battle was neck and neck there. Albeit, I think the marketing machine will keep Brooks there if he can walk.

Btw, I am ready with the last pick of the draft. I looked at AF's team and would be very surprised if he took the guy I plan to nab.

I've checked and it seems that all picks have been made save the last two so after I get back here and make my pick, I will end the draft (as long as AF has picked). Then we will prepare to start the season.

We will double check all payments to make sure that all figures match. Then we will announce the payouts for prize pool and pick 'ems.

Waivers will be set up and order made. Once waivers are turned on, our season is underway. If waivers get turned on this evening, the first run would be sometime early Sat. morning. After they run, everyone in the db will be FA's except the players that were dropped to get waiver claims. Waiver order is opposite order of the draft and never reset.

DAMN THAT BALDWIN! LOL

I thought for sure I would be able to nab Boston off the FA, that is why I didn't draft him... My chances of any competitive team this year is zero, so was gonna build up the team for next year...

If you don't want him as a bench rider, let me know.

OK rfs, I accepted your trade. Will have to let Ref approve it. If Shockey doesn't start I could regret this one very soon, but if the SF D is as bad as I think they will be then having a backup plan will be worth it.

I was surprised he was drafted. I wouldn't have considered him until my bye weeks were all covered during the season. Should help you for next year, but it's a whole season with 13 players for this year. Could pay off big time next year though.

RFS, you weren't kidding aobut trade offers flying. Just approved your trade and you nabbed one of the top draftable TEs at least in my Q.

I just got the SS from StL Cards for payouts. It appears that only five managers are not in the prize pool and only three are not in pick 'ems. All managers have paid or have been covered for their league fees. Will have the payout schedule done soon.

I don't think I've beaten you in this league yet!

Promize.

If you look at my WR's you will see a lot of people on their last leg. I will be keeping Boston after this season for sure assuming his injury isn't carreer ending.

Just got a note from AF and he is picking right now. So this draft will be over soon.

With 5 people not in the prize pool, it's playing some havoc with the payouts. Pick 'ems is cut and dry but the prize pool is not real pretty like before. May have to alter it just a smidge as StL and I are looking at different scenarios. In baseball we had less participation this year and we had to only go 5 deep. Still 19 people in is impressive.

Everyone check your teams to be sure that you've got everyone on your team that you drafted. Once waivers are turned on, you will lose your rights to players drafted and not added to your team. StL and I have tried to manually add any players we could find, but we may have missed someone. It is your responsibility to add your own players.

The draft is complete.

Thanks again for a SENSATIONAL draft. This was done LESS than the 10 days we had aggressively scheduled. This was the most fun slow drafts I've ever been a part of and it's all thanks to the members for doing his part. Good luck to all and have a wonderful season!

Promize, this was addressed in #192. If waivers are turned on today as expected, FAs will first be available on Sat. I believe after waivers have run.

StL and myself have agreed on payouts and will post them as soon as waivers are turned on.

I am searching for any unpicked up drat picks. I can't find anymore. Would hate to have anyone's pick not added to their teams, but again, we've added many picks manually to be helpful and it doesn't remove a manager's responsibility if we've overlooked any.

Once waivers are turned on, we will return to the football forum and continue our discussion. I am going to do a sweep one last time and this time check the roster numbers on all teams. I know promize isn't full, but if all rosters are full, I will start setting up waivers now.

I just checked everyone's teams. Promize and Twarpy both only had 4 picks in this draft and that makes sense as two people had 6 picks and forfeited their final pick.

I also went through every team and adjusted the ones that were illegal to at least make them legal. No thought was put into those, just activated a K or TE or RB or whatever to get the Yellow warning flags off. Wanted to be sure that everyone had the minimum position requirements covered and they have.

I've been through all the picks too, and they all appear to be added, and added to the correct teams as well.

Everything is correct so Waivers have been set up and turned on. This ends this discussion thread. We not move back to the Football Forum where I have already started a thread with the Payouts posted. Thanks again!
