0 Subject: Survivor Week #7

Week 7 and twelve teams are left to fight it out for the right to be called the ulitmate "Suvivor".

I'm bored sitting at home this week, so I'll give you the Edneck version on how I see this playing out this week and of course since I have immunity I am the big and baddest mother on the "Rock". I liked Scotties rating of 1-10 on each teams chances and will rate them from top PTD (points to date) to bottom.

1. Corky--Corky obviously has a strong lineup, but this week there are a few Question marks. McCown, does he score more then ten, Brown,Henry do they start this week? K Robinson suspension? No A. Johnson hurts, but I think he has enough left to scrape by this week especially if the question marks play. rating (6) higher if all running backs start the game.
2. Ednecks--Immunity and with Culpepper and Westbrook he was safe this week anyway (10)
3. RBP-- I thought this team was the best a few weeks ago, but things change quickly in the NFL. Hasselbeck will be solid, Green and Jones are sruggling to get yardage on bad teams, I do think Green will rebound and Jones will fight for everything he gets. Foster done. No Gardner or Bradford this week and Walker with a dodgy shoulder equals a struggle getting points from the WR's, will need Stallworth to step up this week. Depends on QB and Green points this week to feel safe. (5) higher if Jones gets above ten this week.
4. Superclyde-- I think he's very safe this week. Vick will run free against KC. Dunn and Alexander will have monster weeks. Wr's will be solid, but not great. (8)
5. STB-- Another very good team, solid from top to bottom. Harrington will be average, but the RB's Suggs, Taylor and Smith will be nice, Owens and Jackson wiil score as always and STB cruises into week 8. (9)
6. Dawgs-- I thought this team was done a few weeks ago, but he gets someone to score big every week. No different this week. Brady, Holmes and Driver will carry him into another week. Average, but suprisingly in the uppper half most weeks. (6)
7. SSS-- Pretty quiet so far, but has suvived a few injuires and is getting stronger each week. Might get Heap,T. Taylor and Roy Williams back this week. A improving Green and MVP like numbers from Martin will keep SSS in the hunt and Biged's surprise team of the year, I say he gets into the final four...just a feeling...(7)
8. CPS-- In big trouble, as you have probably noticed the ratings have gone up considerbly since a few weeks ago, getting harder to stay on the rock. No running backs and the only way I see him staying is a very large week from Favre and Wr's getting very solid points. (3) bye bye..
9. LHC-- Had a very good week last week..lucky. Will live off Holt and R. Johnson points. Moss going down helps Buleson stats big time. As always depends on Garcia points to not be scared..close but enough. (4)
10. Shak-- Has been near the bottom most of the year. Pennington points are a must with Carr off this week. Needs Davis to start, Dillon has been strong. Wr's are decent. Might be close, but he slides by again with average points and a weak CPS lineup this week. (4)
11. JHHH-- A few injuries have hurt him badly. Brooks and all his Rb's need to score to maintain his survival. A litle help from Boo would go a long way. close again, but he slides. (4)
12. C5-- Bottom scorer but a decent lineup. Plummer and Palmer on Monday night, one will have a big week. Davis needs to score this week, No Barlow hurts a little. Nice WR's in Toomer, Lelie and Mason. Scores enough. (5)

That's just BigEd's view and probably way off...very way off... Enjoy and may the best team get eliminated this week....

A few notes: RBP's score of 160 will not be beat. Corky got as close as anyone will with 140+.

What are the payouts again? Winner and runner up, Highest score and total points get what?

If you havn't paid scotty the money, I think it's about time, don't you?

It's a little early, but we normally have a NFL playoff season draft for cash, normally 20 bucks. Format varies each year, any suggestions. I liked last years..?

Great report, sounds like your at least healthy enough to type. I maybe gone soon, I looked much better with Foster getting decent points. I need WR's to step it up or I'll be shark bait. At least I posted the 160 early to end that competition.

Ed don't hold back, let us know how you feel. You sound like a guy that may just be voting to re-elect the President and not vote for the tree hugging Liberal.

I'm all for saving the fishes and trees, but when it's time to kick someone's ass, I don't want to have a discussion about who's feeling's I might hurt. Bush at least has the balls to do what he thinks is right in the long run. Liberals like Kerry, will kiss a lot of Ass before asking permission from our so called allies and by then we've pleased the Liberal Loving French and crouissants are a little cheaper at the SuperMarket.

Liberals should be confined to being Park Rangers, Florists, Candy Store owners, and Priests. Bush for Pres......

Ok H3 what was the question? Payouts, oh yes just what everybody wants to know. Also their is the issue of "payins" but thats another issue. Their is 18 owners paying $20 each. The sites we will use (this one is free) cost nothing so it all comes back to you (if you win). OK Jon I like your suggestion, let's tweak it to...
Survivor gets $210
Runner up gets $100 (making the final two is tough and should be rewarded)
Highest total score for all 17 weeks gets $50
Highest 1 week scorer gets his money back which is appropriate.

Postseason games? Yes of course we can do that but remember we can only have 8 teams total. We played 2 games recently, the draft and hold league and the weekly redraft. Both are outstanding and I seem to recall winning it a few years ago with no QB but and a bunch of Raider WR's and oh yeah, the Tampa Bay Defense who were pretty good if memory serves right.

Jim and Ed I see your knotted 2-2 in the BBM World Series! Ed why did you not throw Schilling in game 1-4-7?

I was in the Hospital and didn't have a chance to set the lineup. Not sure why Jim had no starting pitcher in game 4? It really doesn't matter!! Jim knows I dominated him all year and who the better team is.

Big Ed, glad to hear you're doing better. I had not starting pitcher because I didn't want to hear you whine about not pitching Schilling in 1-4-7. :-) I thought this would even it up and it did. Unfortunatley, I lost a heartbreaker last night in 10 innings. If somehow I can beat Schilling tonight, I think the championship will be mine because Lily will get spanked in game 7. Boston will be the first to tell you that the regular season doesn't mean jack in the post season.

As far as this week in Survivor goes, I really think this may be my week to say sayonara. I don't like my matchup of Pennington and Moss vs. the Pats. I do have Dillon going vs. the Jets, but he hasn't done as much as I'd hoped. That game will make or break me. Morgan going to Big D will probably not help me at all for this week, but if I'm lucky enough to move on, maybe in future weeks.

Anyway, looking for big offense in the Jet/Pats game, and hoping to take Schilling down tonight in BBM.

I thought you said earlier that when you got a man down, step on his neck? That heart warming gesture renews my faith in mankind and that Jimbo is not the cruel vindictive man Scotty said he was!! he he..

Boston's comeback was a thing of beauty. The Yanks had already reserved and was thinking about the WS, feeling very large with a 3-0 lead. Scotty knows that feeling 160 and looking unbeatable..now just hoping to stay alive....I love it when the big knobs fall down to earth...

Immunity has a calming affect on the bones....I feel peaceful this week. Anybody else get that sensation? It will be close in the BBM Jim, you beat Schilling then it's probably all over.

95% of the Survivor league has no idea what the heck were even talking about regarding BBM. 160 is unbeatable, but unfortunately I can't borry points from that total and apply them to my paltry scores in the coming weeks.

Congrats BigEd on a fantastic BBM season. I have to tip my hat to you -- you were the only rookie to be successful and you dominated. Job well done.

Got lucky after losing Beltran and F. Thomas. Thought for sure I would faulter. Blalock & Tex, plus Crawford made the difference. Invite me back if you can get a decent league together. I know this is Survivor league football not Baseball, but some of you boys are afraid of your opinions or are just plain boring and have nothing to say...I know I can hear the excuses already

1. I let my team do the talking.
2. All work and no play, makes my leagues and my wife very unhappy
3. I'm afraid that my lack of knowledge will make me look stupid
4. That Scotty, Shak and BigEd scare me.
5. I'm afraid to make JHHH mad and he won't like me no more and I'll go straight to hell!
6. I'm just a boring SOB?
7. I'm in Kosovo and the women won't leave me alone long enough to send an Email

The BBM league was kind of thrown together and the lesson to learn is taht it is a long season and only the most instense fantasy geeks need apply. I do love the format and the draft. Good luck to all this week and as long as I can beat one team I'll be happy!

Terrell Owens: Male Model

"...what do you want from someone who stays in unfathomable shape not because it helps his football but because he's interested in male modeling?

It is this ego and vanity (and mouth) that have somehow made Owens the most controversial player in his sport even though he has never been in a murder trial (Ray Lewis) or killed someone's mother while driving drunk (Leonard Little) or turned a cop into a hood ornament (Randy Moss). Owens has never had an off-field misadventure of any kind, but he is bold and defiant with his words and actions, and that's enough to wiggle the controversy needle in the media age. It is why friend and quarterback Donovan McNabb mixes race and metaphors while playfully referring to Owens as a tennis star who also was mouthy -- John Blackenroe. "

I added up CPS's points and they are 44. I know JHHH slipped by with decent Faulk points. Not sure abut Shak? I know C5 has around 20+ with Lelie, Plummer or Palmer left.

I didn't do that well either, but better then 44 points. I think STB scored pretty high, so he's probably got immunity this week..

Good luck..if your close .

My rough wag is that I got 50 points thanks to a nice breakaway run by Dillon to put him over 100 yards and a TD by Fitzgerald. Looks like it's going to come down to CPS vs. C5 on MNF.

Last week to win Immunity is this week, then we are all possible victims.

Survivor gets $200
Runner up gets $100 (making the final two is tough and should be rewarded)
Highest total score for all 17 weeks gets $50
Highest 1 week scorer gets his money back which is appropriate.

Thanks for catching that HHH. No week 7 is the last week to win immunity and it will be used in week 8. When we play week 9 then nobody is safe. Also We need to name the league. Any suggestions?

I have no idea how many points I have but I would say that I am not safe either. Edge and McMichael had good weeks but everyone else sucked.

Scotty, I will send out another check this week. I am good for it as you know. If Tim's team had sucked this week, I would have immunity, but I guess when I have Vick and Dunn off, it won't matter much. Vick has been garbage all year and Dunn hasn't been spectacular as of late. If I can make it past the next two weeks, it will get interesting.

Looks like it's going to be a 3-way barnburner tonight. I have no idea which of the 3 is the favorite to get the boot:

CPS - 45.5
LHC - 34.5 +Rudy, Q, and Watts
C5 - 26 +Palmer/Plummer and Lelie

I think CPS is clearly the better team and will be a big threat if he can get thru this week with Portis, Staley and Bettis on byes.

We will all have immunity for week 8, thanks to Jon. :-)

A big Thanks to Jon for all the hard work as "Stat Boy". I have a few appointments that may keep me away for a while, so I can't continue his fine work.

between CPS, C5 and LHC this week. I would say that LHC getting 10 points with Johnson is a toss up. C5 getting 20 points from Palmer or Plummer and Lelie is going to be close also. I think they both survive and CPS leaves the rock...I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

I could probably handle the stats, but I'm not very proficient in Excel. Perhaps if Jon could include an idiot-proof cheatsheet, I could give it a go.

BTW the line on tonight's game is Cincy +6.5. I usually like the home dog on a nationally televised game, but I think the Broncos will cover.

Like I said, you gotta love the home dogs and Cincy will win outright.

In a very, very close contest, I believe C5 has survived to see another week or two and CPS is history.
